This game is all right. It is a simple match-3 game with the added goal of dropping 'special pieces' to the bottom of the board.
However, the game's cousin Rise of Atlantis (on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Rise-Atlantis-Game-Download-PC/dp/B001L5TIR4) is similar, but much better. It has a great added feature: a gameplay reward for making combos or big matches (you get a special power that helps you achieve the goal). It also has a more interesting theme. The theme in Atlantis Quest is a cheesy fantasy, but in Rise of Atlantis you get cool facts about ancient civilizations instead. And I think it looks a little better and smoother as well. Bottom line: if Atlantis Quest looks interesting to you, skip it and just get Rise of Atlantis instead.

I also have downloaded this game three times and the curser problems won't go away. The curser blinks like mad and makes playing the game impossible. Can anyone suggest what the solution may be?

I got this game from Amazon a few weeks ago and I simply LOVE IT....
I must play it everyday. I have reached level 7 after untold amount of tries to get thru level 6. The download didn't take long and have had zero problems. I will probably get another Atlantis game when I get done with this one. Right now this is all I can handle. I definately would recommend this game, but be careful...it is very addicting!!

Not as Fun as the Original it's based on,

Very similar to Bejeweled, only not as fun. It runs a lot slower and just lacks the addicting element that the original has. There are some original twists to this version, such as dropping the puzzle pieces to complete the level and completing puzzles to move on. Also the board shapes vary as opposed to just being square. Overall though it really didn't hold me. I made it about ten minutes into the free trial before I closed it out.

Matching puzzle,

You are on a quest to find Atlantis. In order to do so, you need to collect a number of artifacts which, it turns out, are scattered into little pieces all over the ancient world. As you travel from ancient city to ancient city, you get to claim little fragments by playing puzzle games where you have to match like artifacts in groups of 3, horizontally or vertically so that they disappear and the artifacts above them drop. Your pieces drop too and you 'get' them when they drop off the puzzle's frame.
It gets repetitive fast.

Frustrating,

I started with Call of Atlantis, then downloaded a similar "Atlantis"; had fun with both of these so decided to download Atlantis Quest. And can't get through Level 6. You get 3 lives per level, can acquire more if the games on your level have them (they are rare) and once you run out of lives you don't just start that game over but lose all progress on your level and start from square 1 on your current level. Some levels have 9 or 10 games per. Yea, it's a challenge but you have to be given some hope or you do lose interest (if you're constantly going to lose, why play?). Plus the game does things like you move your mouse side to side to slide sidewards but the computer slides up and down so you miss the combo you were trying to make which changes the whole game. And sometimes you are trying to slide the tiles but they just won't slide and you waste precious time. I'm not sure what the "teapot" tool does. And when you add on time (the "hour glass" tool), it only adds maybe 10 seconds of time and even that time speeds up and disappears almost before you can grab your mouse. The subsequent "Atlantis" games are far better designed and at least give you some advantages (the sunburst thing) so you do feel like you're making progress and aren't going to forever be stuck where you redoing the same level over and over and over again. I'm stubborn (and have nothing better to do) so come home from my stressful job to sit there playing this darn game over and over for hours but will eventually give it up and uninstall it if I don't see some progress soon.

I downloaded this stupid game twice, uninstalled and then reinstalled it, but every time I tried to play it, the cursor would not stop blinking and made it almost impossible to play. Maybe it was just mine, but for some reason, I couldn't get it to work. Seems like Luxor or Bejeweled type of game (which I love)- just wouldn't work right for me.

I PREVIOUSLY HAD THIS GAME ON A DISC, BUT MISPLACED IT AND BOUGHT A NEW COMPUTER. OBVIOUSLY, I ORDERED IT ONLINE AND PAID LESS FOR THIS ONE THAN THE FIRST. I LIKE THIS GAME AND PLAY IT ALOT. IT MAKES ME THINK AND THEREFORE KEEPS MY BRAIN WORKING, OR SO I IMAGINE. A GOOD GAME IF YOU LIKE PUZZLE GAMES.

I played this game a lot when I had an MSN Gamespring subscription. MSN quit the gamespring thing so I lost all the games I payed for for a year. Before this happened though I was able to play this game constantly.Parts ARE difficult but can be done. I never had cursor problems, luckily.I did complete the game after untold hours of frustration and ,you know, fun? It requires patience and experimentation. When you get to Atlantis it gets mind numbing.I still love this game. One thing I do not know is the version for sale on Amazon says it is for windows XP and I run Vista. So I am not sure I should buy it from them.

This game is too difficult in the later stages to even have a chance to win. Gameplay is way unbalanced.
