4.0 out of 5 stars Toddler's own keys helps Mom hang on to real ones, May 24, 2005
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Playskool Ages & Stages Light 'n Play Key Ring (Toy)
At a year and a half, our daughter went through a phase where she wanted Mommy's keys ALL THE TIME. Enter this key ring, so she could have her own keys.

Good points:

- They have metal-looking keys that klink, instead of plastic obviously-fake keys.

- They're easy to handle

- The sounds and lights are fun during car trips.

Only downside: The sounds are very REALISTIC. Grandma's gone to get the door a few times when the door button pushed. Dad freaked out when driving in the car, she pushed the honking horns/traffic noise.

A tip: She didn't want to play with them until I pretended to use them on the car and the house. Once she thought they were "real" she was interested.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just like mom and dad, October 12, 2005
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Playskool Ages & Stages Light 'n Play Key Ring (Toy)
We bought these keys for our then 18 month old, when he was obsessed with keys and had set my car alarm off one too many times. The toy is great. The key chain is big so its easy for kids to hang onto, the buttoms are colorful and appropriately sized, and make honking noises, car starting noises, etc.. They keys are metal like, not plastic, so the toy feels more realistic. My now 3 year old still plays with them and still takes them places with us. Word of warning, because these keys are not plastic, be very careful where your child puts them. As we were leaving to the store one day I handed my son his keys, grabbed mine and while I was putting my purse in the front seat my son was keying up the lock on the back door trying to open it. YIKES! These keys can scatch, so a word of warning.

I purchased this toy for my 1 year old because she always wants to play with my keys. She enjoys these more than some plastic keys that she has because the keys are metal and more like the real thing. It is great for keeping her entertained in the car.
