5.0 out of 5 stars My baby went nuts for this toy!
My seven-month old loves playing with this toy whenever we visit the doctor's office. He loves to manipulate the knobs and buttons and make the animals pop up. An added bonus is that this toy isn't electronic -- no batteries! I haven't seen it in our local stores, so I'm pleased to see it for sale online.

1.0 out of 5 stars Overpriced !!
$28.99 The week before XMas ?!!! Crazy ! I found it for $13 (and not even in sale) at my local Target.
I will update my review on the toy itself after XMas and when my son will have gotten some time to play with it.

I bought this for my 9 month old. He loves to push down the animals but I am scared he is going to get his fingers caught when he pushes down. I guess with these types of toys there is no way around it. He loves it but can't figure out all the buttons yet. Maybe still too young. But he seems to get a kick out of the 2 sliding buttons he can push. Giggles when the animals pop up. Cute toy, great that I don't have to buy batteries every minute. Very sturdy.

I've practiced so that I can get all five animals to pop up at once. I'm 356 months old, and my 8 month old daughter also enjoys playing with this toy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Even my 2.5 year old still loves it!, December 16, 2008

We have the lime green version of this toy and it's a big hit around here. I was actually kind of surprised, considering my girls usually go gaga for the electronic, singing toys, but they both love this. It was one of the first toys my younger daughter could manipulate on her own. It's great for teaching some of those finer motor skills. The button pop-up is their favorite because it squeaks when you press it. My one complaint is that the twist key-type one has to be turned a little more after the animal pops up to get it to go back down again and the girls don't really understand that concept just yet. I don't know if that's a quirk specific to our toy, though. So if you're looking for a cute, durable toy that doesn't require batteries, you are in the right place!

My son loves this toy, he will sit for a long time trying to figure out how to make them pop up, when he finally gets it he laughs out loud!

My 15 month old loves to play with it, but he's figured out a faster and easier way to get the animals to pop up. He throws it! And makes a great dent on my hardwood floors. It does entertain him but if you have a baby who is like mine, invest in some soft floor protection when they play with it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Learning Tool, September 13, 2010
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Playskool Busy Poppin' Pals (Colors May Vary) (Toy)
My son loved this around 12 months old. It was great for him to learn how to manipulate the different kinds of switches, buttons and knobs. It took him a while to figure out the knob that turns. That one proved annoying for me as well because the knob has to be turned just right for the pop-up animal to latch closed again. The toy is extremely durable; my son likes to throw things down the stairs and this is one of the items that has been down them. It doesn't require batteries and doesn't make sounds/music. I rated it a 4 because my son prefers the sound/music toys so he played with this one less frequently than others.

Classic toy- love that the doors can only be opened by using the knobs and that it does not take batteries! My daughter and I will use the toy to learn animal sounds, colors, numbers and operating the various knobs. I just wish I knew a good sound to make for the giraffe!

This was a gift for our 10 month old daughter. It requires no batteries, so a big plus in my book. Our daughter hasn't figured out how to open the doors/lids yet, but she LOVES closing them. And since we have an older son very close in age who believes all toys are his, it's a good one for them to play with together. He manipulates switches to open the doors and she closes. Appears to be durable so far, as well.
