5.0 out of 5 stars wonderful if you get it cheaper!!!!
I got this castle much cheaper then the retail price! It is large with an opening of about 36 inches...but once you step in the castle arch's up to a little over 4 feet! It is very large but you can separate the two pieces. We have used the castle as an opening to my daughters toy closet and the backing with the windows as an area in her room. We have placed them side...

1.0 out of 5 stars Can't put together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so frustrated! I am trying to put this princess castle together and I have the frame put up, thats easy enough, but the fabric seems too small! I have been trying for over 2 hours to get the frabic on the back end alone! No one else is complaining of it being hard to put together and I feel like I'm doing something wrong, but I have triple checked my progress and I...

We have placed them side to side and we have also placed it as pictured! The possibilities are endless. We have only owned this for a few days but have moved it many times from room to room without any difficulty. The castle is made of fabric but the poles are very sturdy plastic and putting it together was not extremely difficult considering all the pieces (I actually did not put it together though :) ) My brother in Law took a little over 30 minutes doing it. The poles are color coded and also labeled with a number and a f (front) or b (back)
So far everyone has enjoyed it from my 1 year old daughter to the two 2 year olds and the 5 year old little boy!
It is large, and we do not have the space but we have truly enjoyed knocking on the castle doors, looking through the windows, and reading stories inside this castle! (Often times I read at the door-way while the other four play inside or sit inside. Like I stated earlier though we got it far below retail value (a little over 80% of the tag price) Would I pay more....with-out question I would!
The kids have even commented on a fire being in the castle from the scones and now every baby doll has become a princess waiting to be a queen. The only thing I would have changed is that I wish the pieces could Velcro together (but I can do that myself!) and maybe if the doors were a little sturdier (I think they are a thick cardboard everything else is thick fabric or plastic poles) other then that everything seems extremely sturdy and well built overall. Much better then some of the other tents/castles I bought and returned because they drove me crazy!!!! Lastly we do own the rose petal cottage chair but in many ways it is too wide for the castle the kids seem to like the regular fold up chairs inside this castle due to space constraints and comfort (The chair is very wide but not tall at all). Hopefully this review helps you decide!!!

This is so adorable, it reminds me of something from the Barbie Diamond Castle movie... LOL. It was bought on sale for my daughter who is 17 months old. She loves climbing in and under things right now, and we didn't want to waste $$ on a "tent". My niece has the cottage, so we wanted to get something different for our little girl. This is wayyyy bigger than the cottage! Perfect for a 5 or 6 year old really, but we LOVE it for our daughter anyway. She should be able to play in this for YEARS. I understand now why the listed retail price is so high, even at full price I think it would be worth the $$. If you have seen the cottage, this feels TWICE as big... lots of room inside for vanity and such. (We did not get the matching vanity as it got TERRIBLE reviews, instead we went with a Little Tikes.) We were able to put this together quickly, in about 30 min with hubby and I each working on one side, everything is color coded and that made it pretty easy.
BOTTOM LINE: It is sturdy, pretty to look at, and functional! GREAT BUY!!! I could not be happier with this purchase!
P.S. The rose petal cottage ice cream scoop and cake sets are ADORABLE as well, and very well made for young children (velcro and fabric).

This castle is so well contructed. I have had several other brands of castles, houses etc with Disney theme and they fall over. This one has a floor, and the fabric shell actually zips together which is a great design. The two pieces fit together, and can be stored one inside the other. It is roomy, and just perfect. My 4 grandchildren love it. They are 20 months, 3, 4 and 4. This is a superior product. The dress is well made and contructed of sturdy fabric and will wear well. I got this on sale, and I think I really found a wonderful bargain.

~ I bought this off Amazon for my 5 year old daughter. It's ALL she wanted for Christmas. We too, set it up the night before, and when she woke up she was so excited about playing in the castle we had a hard time getting her to open her other gifts! We bought a vanity made by a different brand as well as the table and chair set and set it up inside. She has plenty of room. The inside is about 4 feet tall so she can stand comfortably inside, but has to bend a little to get through the doors. No Biggie. It was fairly easy to set up, we followed the directions. This Castle is $199.99 at Toys R Us, so to our delight we got it at a huge discount through Amazon. It takes up a lot of space, but is well worth it if you have a playroom or a good sized bedroom to put it in. The Costume seems to be well made with heavy material and she wore it all day on Christmas with a long sleeve T-Shirt and tights. Too Cute!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars What a castle!, December 26, 2008

Great castle! Huge inside, yet stores in half the space (still takes up a good portion of space stored though). Very cute design, the only drawback we have are the towers that attach to the front. They are supported only by a thin rod that runs up the center and our towers appear twisted. No big deal, I will try to tweak them, otherwise a great playhouse that will not collapse while they are playing inside. Note that the castle is so big you can fit other brand accessories inside (vanities, table/chairs). The castle accessories (sold separately) are not up to par IMO.

I bought the princess castle and vanity for my 3 1/2 year old niece for Christmas and she absolutely loves it! The dress is adorable and a perfect fit and she absolutely loves playing make believe inside the castle. It is relatively easy to assemble and is very durable. Great toy -- thank you :)

I bought this for my 3 year old grandaughter for Christmas. She loves this castle. She plays in it all the time. She even sleeps in it. It took my daughter several hours to put together but was well worth the time. I would highly recommend this toy.

I got this for my 3 year old daughter for Christmas and set it up the night before so she would be surprised when she wakes up. She loved it! It's big enough for her to stand inside and play. The dress it comes with is made very well. The castle fabric seems durable but I just hope the seems don't rip over time because it seems tight in some areas. The setup was not hard at all with all pieces labeled so it's easy to assemble. I would recommend this although I did pay well below the list price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ever wonder why they don't make blue castles for boys?, February 28, 2009

I was looking for something a little more 'knightly' if you will for my two year old son. Apparantly they don't make castles for boys. However my son has a thing for pink - not sure if he really likes the color, or just the word - so I bought him the Lily Castle. He loved helping me build the frame, and probably would've been happy if I'd left it at that. But he liked the finished product and spent the first three weeks playing inside, making Grandpa get in, peeking out the windows. I have since come to understand why they don't make castles for boys. Out of the box thinker that he is, my boy prefers his castle dumped over, one half filled with toys, the other half used as a hammock. The frame is hopelessly bent, yes, but has proven surprisingly sturdy considering the abuse it's taken. Recommended, but be sure to note the dimensions; the size of the thing becomes more annoying over time - especially when dumped on the floor in two separate pieces!

5.0 out of 5 stars PERFECT Princess castle for your little Princess!!!, August 12, 2009

I bought this Sweet Lily Castle for my 2 year old daughter for her birthday and she and I LOVE it!!! Her toddler room is a "princess" themed room so this works perfectly. It's HUGE...my daughter is crazy tall for her age, the size of a 4 year old, and she can still use this castle for many years. She delights in closing herself inside and playing. We easily fit the Rose Petal Cottage sink, stove and washer in there. We also have the Sweet Lily Castle vanity and seat in there. (I've recently added some soft food to play with. The sorting fruit baskets and the grocery bag full of soft food from Lakeshore Learning...all of which sits on the floor of the castle.) Even with all of these things inside, my little Princess has plenty of room to play and move around in there. I can't stress how great this castle turned out to be! My mom owns the Rose Petal Cottage, so I wanted something different and this is soooooo much better! My daughter barely fits in the Rose Petal Cottage when the appliances are inside. The only problem you might have is space for the castle...luckily her toddler room is very large so it fits well in there. It would work well in a playroom. You won't be disappointed!!!
