Outfitted with four large, colorful balls, which are compatible with other Explore and Grow products, the Tumble 'N Twirl has a sliding plastic door that can stay closed for spinning or open for spilling. Your infant can take the balls out, pop the balls back in, pump the plunger to watch them spin, or open the door to watch them tumble out--providing many options for the different ages and developmental ranges of your infant.

The balls are small enough for most six-month-old infants to hold in their hands, but plenty large enough not to be a choking hazard. Though the ball-twirler is made of a durable, sturdy plastic, keep in mind that it can still break with repeated dropping. Also be careful of runaway balls, since you never know where they may land once they come popping out of the spinner.

This is a kid-powered version of the busy ball popper. I recommend it for kids from sitting up through 2 years. No batteries, no sounds. The balls spin around fascinatingly, and for more fun the door opens so they skitter away! My son, now 15 months, got this for his first birthday and has played with it daily since, learning how to open and close the door himself, run to gather all the balls, then put them back and start over. Very engaging and lots of fun!

This is currently my 8 month old son's favorite toy. He has just learned how to push down on the lever to make the balls spin by himself. But he loves to open the plastic door and take the balls out. He loves those balls!
