The video attached is of general use of this product Product cons: 1) sometimes the trains get backed up on the bottom where the little green door is 2) The red key is hard for the child to operate on their own. My son can launch the trains himself but has trouble pushing it hard enough to make the "choo choo!" noise sound 3) Operates better on a hard surface rather than on carpeting. It still works on the carpet but topples over more easily. Pros: 1) Fun It is a nice toy despite the cons, the cons are just something you should be conscious of but don't let my cons deter you I think this is a great toy for my son so far.

My 19 mo old son has only played with this toy for a day, so this review is based on what i've seen so far.
He loves the choo choo train noise it makes. He can easily put the train at the top of the platfrom and push the sign to make the train go down. 9 out of 10 times, no where on the track he puts the train, it can go down the track. That's a big plus for me cuz he doesn't get frustrated and start to complain about not being about to get the train to do what he wants. Surprisingly once the train is on the track, it stays on and goes all the way down w/o popping off, even if the train is going fast (i.e. from the top and perfect alignment). Again, nice because that's what they're expecting it to do. My one complaint though is that the base is probably not heavy enough. Could stand to be a little heavier cuz if your kid is like mine, he likes to really beat on the lever to make the music go. He hits too hard that sometimes the train pops off cuz the whole base shifts. I've been trying to teach him not to hit it too hard. Also would be nice if they would have designed some sort of built in storage for the little trains. But the two little trains fit in the middle so that's how we store it.

Best of the Worst of Chuck & Friends Playsets,

Although I read the reviews listing the problems with this playset I picked it up at Walmart when I saw it. If your child enjoys the Chuck & Friends series of trucks and cars you will know that although the cars & trucks seem solid, the playsets they make are horrible. They are all poorly built and seems like no quality checks were done prior to putting them out in the stores.
For this set, yes, one of the trains that come with it, jumps the track every time it goes down because of the weight distribution on the train. The other one cruises down fine. Some of the other Chuck & Friends trucks work better with it than the train and since my 2 year old doesn't realize the set is for trains, he has just as much fun sending trucks down the tracks. The base is not sturdy but as I mention none of the Chuck & Friends playsets are. The sign on top meant to be pushed to send down the trains is also difficult for a 2 year old. It's actually easier to remove it and have them press the button underneath. This toy will last and your child should enjoy it but don't expect a top nothc toy. Also, be sure not to pay top dollar for it. I picked it up for $20 at Walmart and it cames with a bonus 5 Chuck & Friend's trucks.

I love Tonka but this toy is the pits. The vehicles that come with it don't go down the ramp well. The train whistle operates sometimes. We got this as a gift for our 1.5 yr old and he played with it off and on for a while. Tonka, please bring back the metal earth moving toys. The kids love them!

My 2 yr old received this as a Christmas gift & he LOVES it. It came with 7 different cars, trains, trucks, etc that all race down the track at different speeds. Easy to put together, easy to use, good quality, very fun.

Got this for my daughter last Christmas (she was about 18 months) because she's a big train fan. Immediately, one train would go mostly down the ramps, and the other would not; wheels just weren't very good on it (I'm actually on here now seeing if there's a set of Wheel Pal trains that might roll better). So that was a pretty big disappointment. However, she'll still break it out every now & then to play with and we'll roll *other* stuff down it. And she still loves the whistle, too. The actual whistle that stands up at the top - NO idea where it is; it can be pulled out pretty easily. But you can still press down at the top to make the sound.

My 22 month old son LOVED this toy at Christmas. The train sounds are pretty cool though the ramps are slightly flimsy and my husband complains that the trains don't move very quickly down them. Two months later, my son has moved on to pulling the ramps apart and pulling the railroad crossing sign off the top. Boys will be boys, I suppose. :-) Either way, this is a fun toy.

This toy is a great idea, but the trains get stuck as they are going down and you have to basically push them down the track by hand....not as much fun as if they went down fast on their own when you launch them. We are disappointed

We have a problem with the trains falling off the track around the curves. To get them to stay on, I had to loosen some of the connections to create gaps to slow the trains down. It's a fun toy when the cars stay on.

This is a great toy. Perfect for the little wheel pals cars. Press the sign, ramp pops up, cars wind down the ramp to a cool train noise and out the door.
