Great PS2 controller. The gyroscopic effects and macro ability are very worthwhile in gaming. Would definately buy again...

Think $600 is a little too much to pay for a PS3? I sure do, that's why I figured I'd try out this new controller that promises motion sensing for the PS2. Plus it includes rumble which the pS3 won't have. The controller really works great and surprisingly the motion sensing is a great feature. In racing games especially it helps you make smoother turns for better lap times. it's very responsive and the design is nice and compact. I highly recommend this product, plus it's very affordable especially for what you get.

The seller I bought this controller from shipped very fast, and it was completely new and in original packaging. The few things I want to note on is that, when using it, you will probably notice that it is smaller than the typical PS2 controller and the memory ability it comes with is a nice compliment, but makes playing a little bit confusing when accidentally pressing certain two of the buttons (the transparent one that says G-pad or the analog) will cause the buttons to stop their original function, which rarely happens due to their location during gaming, it's usually the start up when grabbing for it. And the length is average (same as most others), not very short, but I have a longer one which is easier to use. So overall, a great product.

Good golly, you could spotlight a deer with this thing !! And contrary to the website, you can't turn it off. But it's nothing a few dabs of black fingernail polish won't fix.(Don't ask) Feels good, responsive controls, turbo, long cord....no rumble...awwwww. Hey, 4 outta 5 ain't bad.

Well i recieved the controller in fast time. I opened it up and it worked amazing for my games. But, after about an hour of playtime, the controller joysticks are being funky and moving mycharacter in the wrong direction and are very shaky now. I am very angry that this happened.

After my original controller quit working, I went on Amazon looking for a replacement. I didn't have much money to spend, so I was fortunate to find a vendor that was selling this controller for just under $7 after shipping. The motion sensing abilities and the programmable macro button were neat, as well as the controller's translucent royal blue color and black rubberized handle grips. Though it is smaller in size when compared to Sony's Dualshock 2, I had no problems with it or the smaller buttons on it because my hands aren't that big and my fingers are rather skinny. The motion sensing function turns on by default when you power on your PS2, but you can disable the feature by simply pressing the Analog mode button. The controller comes with an instructional booklet that is well written and illustrated, and it shows you how to adjust the sensitivity of the motion sensors and to use the macro feature. I tested the motion sensing function on "Grand Theft Auto Vice City" and found that it works well when you're driving, but a little awkward when you are walking or running. On "Tony Hawk's American Wasteland", it was easier to navigate the character, regardless of whether he was on a board, a bike, or his feet. On "Madden NFL 10", it gave me better control of the player when he's running. And on "Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec", it allowed me to handle turns and sharp curves much better than using the D-pad or the analog thumbstick. I only have one complaint about this controller: the cord is short. Be prepared to move your system closer to you if you play your games from across the room. Other than that, it is an excellent buy and extremely affordable. More importantly, it adds an entirely new dimension to the PS2, which is nearing its 12th year in existence. Finally, you can have something on your PS2 that brings new life and better control to the games you play on it. I give it 9½ out of 10.

The D-pad and Triggers are terrible, even for a PS2 controller. The 4 buttons and analog sticks are okay, but I've seen a lot better.
I can't possibly see how anyone could give this a 5/5, I don't use the macro or other buttons so can't say anything about those. The design isn't great either... |
