If you're an avid video game strategy guide reader like myself, you'll know exactly what I mean when I say that virtually every game compendium to date is a waste of money. They're mostly filled with screen shots of the title and opening scenes, alongside a quick rehash of the game's manual, and maybe even a few basic tips are thrown in to get you started. They have always served as buyer's guides rather than anything helpful. Thus, I was completely blown away when I opened this latest compiliation from Sandwich Islands. Inside are COMPLETE walkthroughs for the most popular PSX games that have arrived over the past 6 months. There's no wasted space or useless jibber-jabber; the pages are literally packed to the max with comprehensive, chronological game strategies and tips to get you all the way through eleven huge games. You won't find any holes, jumps, or gaps when it comes to explanations of what you need to do. No silly artwork or obtrusive borders here--just everything a player needs to conquer some of the most popular and innovative games ever. Why buy separate guides when you can get the same thing (only better and more complete) plus a WHOLE lot more for the same price? Add all this to a HUMUNGOUS tip section (which contains the only, yet mild, problems in the book--there's some innacurate information, a handful of typos, and occasional incompleteness) and you've got a real winner! Can't wait for Volume 4...
