It would seem obvious that a sippy cup could be, you know, SIPPED OUT OF.

But alas, this cup, while admirably spill-proof is also impossible to drink out of. I was wondering why my boy - who doesn't have too much trouble with his bottle - wasn't making any dent in the fluid using this cup. So I decided to fill it with water and try it myself. As it turns out, you probably need a vacuum pump to get any appreciable volume of liquid out of the thing.

What do you call a sippy cup that you can't drink out of?

Worthless.

If you're looking for a sippy cup that won't leak, this is it. If you're looking for something your kid can actually sip liquid from, this is not it. Out of the several different kinds we tried, this one was the worst. I have a hard time getting water out of it! Also, one speech therapist told us that sippy cups that require your kids to bite/suck are not good for speech development and create bad habits. Get an easier to use (but therefore not spillproof) cup instead, and teach your kids not to throw/shake it (or wander all over the house with it)!

The spout on this cup is very dangerous. It tends to crack and split apart causing small pieces to break off. I purchased two of these cups and within a short amount of time the spout on both cups cracked. Fortunately, I discovered the problem before pieces actually broke off in my son's mouth. I believe this product should be recalled and I'm writing to Playtex to make sure they know about it.

The only sippy our son uses. Easy for him to handle. We own several.
