This is the first and only utensil set I have bought my now 16 month old son for his use, so I don't have anything to compare it to. However, I have no need to get any other set because he is able to use this set with no problems. I also feel safer that he is using a plastic spoon and fork and nothing metal or sharp. If you are looking for a nice starter set to get your child, I would recommend this.

I've been amazed how hard it is to find a baby fork that isn't made out of metal! So I tried these utensils and liked them so much, I bought a second set. I didn't really need another spoon, but I actually am happy to have them, too. They have a nice big, flat surface and a big, thick handle, so when my 1-year-old son takes the spoon to feed himself, it helps him do a good job. The fork works great, too: it spears food well and is also easy for my son to handle. It's a great starter set for babies/toddlers who want to feed themselves (with a little help).
