She is just learning to use a sippy cup and these are great.

I've found that the lids aren't totally interchageable, and if the wrong lid is on the wrong cup it doesn't quite screw on right and leaks.

I know that I took a risk with "Colors Vary" but I received one Blue and one Pink cup.

I've decided that this is our sippy cup. I like the fact that it's easy to put together, doesn't leak and that you can stash it in pockets, pouches, etc. We've tried many others, including:

Born Free - wasn't accepted (I think it was just too much of a contraption for a 12-mo old)
Nuby - broke after multiple tosses on the floor
Nuk - like it, but the handles attach at the bottom, making it difficult to stash in pockets/pouches. Also, it seems like my daughter sucks in a lot of air with it.
Munchkin - my daughter likes it and its the brand they use at her daycare, but it's hard to center the nipple just right. Also, my daughter loves the fact that she can turn it upside down, squish the nipple on the table, and dump out a puddle of milk. She would give it an A+ for entertainment value, Mommy, not so much.
Tilty - I like the concept but there are no handles, and the nipple isn't the best

We'll stick with Playtex for now!

Pros: -
they don't leak unless baby bangs it on something hard, even then only a few drops come out. Even if you turn it upside down, it doesn't leak because of the valve.
-Fairly easy to clean as long as you don't let it sit.
-Nice looking, comes in a variety of colors...some gender neutral
-You can buy extra valves on Amazon for just a few dollars. I've had my cups for about a year and still don't need new valves.
-You can remove the valve completely and use the bottle for an older child.
-Baby sucks it like a straw almost, it doesn't just pour out like other cups.
-Very durable, my daughter throws it around like a football and it's still in good shape.

Cons:
-Because of the way the inside of the lid is shaped (the valve takes some room in the lid) you will ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS waste like a half an ounce of liquid. It gets stuck in the lid and baby can't suck it out. So that half an ounce of milk (or whatever baby is drinking) gets wasted. But in the end this is needed so it can truly be leakproof.

-There's no way to measure how many ounces you are filling in the cup, there are no measuring lines which is a little absurd. This should be an easy fix for Playtex. The cup is seven ounces, so minus one ounce that gets wasted, you are left with a six ounce cup (but still, it would be nice to be able to measure).

Conclusion: It's a damn good cup, I've purchased several.

If *I* can't suck liquid out of this sippy cup, how can I expect my daughter to? It's spill proof, sure, but that's because it's also drink proof.

I used these for my first child and now I'm expecting baby #2 and am stocking up again on these. If you rinse them out after your child uses them and don't let them sit around, they are easy to rinse out. I never had a mold or mildew issue with them. A friend of mine had issues with every type of sippy cup on the market because they were "too hard to clean." It doesn't matter what type you use, don't let them sit. Rinse them out after your child finishes their drink and you will always have a clean cup with no hassle. I was very excited to find these still on the market and I intend to use these as my only sippy cup for my second baby. Love them.

My son loves these sippy cups. He isn't all that great at handling the cups without handles, he tends to turns those up side down and try to suck on the bottom of the cup for some reason. With these cups, he holds the handles and attempts to drink from the spout like a big boy! He's still figuring out he needs to tip the cup back to get the last half of liquid out of it, but I imagine that will come in time.

My twins could not get anything out of this cup with the valve in place. I tried it and had a hard time myself. We tried removing the valve and then it flowed way too fast.

This cup (bought May 2014) leaks SO EASILY. I have mopped up an entire cup's full of water from the floor several times in the past month. Yes, my 6-month-old can get water out easily, but the leaks make this cup absolutely worthless for me. I will throw them away and buy another brand.

I used Playtex sippy cups with my older kids (born 2008 & 2010) faithfully because I liked the design so well. I'm so disappointed the company has changed the design. =(

Hi, S. Saar!
We apologize for the inconvenience. In our directions for use, you will notice that we advise you to twist the lid until you hear or feel a click signaling that it is locked. We have learned from consumers like you that the click can sometimes be heard or felt before the arrow on the lid lines up with the padlock icon on the cup. To ensure a proper seal, we recommend twisting the lid until the arrow is at or past the lock symbol, even if you feel the click before that.

If you try this and still experience leaking from the seal area, please contact us so that we can assist you further at 1-800-222-0453, Monday-Friday, between 8am-6pm EST. Please refer to your Amazon Name when calling.

Wow...where do I start?

I almost never write negative reviews but I feel obligated to my fellow moms of toddlers to warn you about these cups!

1. They only have 1 handle. It's hard to tell in the photo, but why would a cup only have 1 handle as opposed to a handle on either side?

2. The lids are composed of 3 pieces: the nipple, the part that screws on to the cup, and the lid. The handle comes off, so that makes 4 pieces. Plus the actual cup, so that's 5 pieces! Who has time for that???

3. The lids are extremely difficult to put together. So much that I wondered if they were not intended to come apart. But water gets into the little crevices so you do have to take them apart to wash them.

4. They LEAK EVERYWHERE!

5. They are difficult to get liquid out of for a child (my son is 1 year old and got very frustrated with how slow it flows).

Save your money and buy a different cup.
