Well-Designed Bottle for Proper Feeding Technique
Each angled VentAire bottle helps promote the proper, semi-upright feeding position that is recommended by pediatricians to avoid ear infections. The slender bottles allow a sure grip for even the tiniest hands and caregivers can comfortably hold the bottle while feeding.
Patented Venting System to Reduce Gas
Micro-channel vents placed on the bottom of the bottle, instead of slits on the nipple, provide a consistent flow of liquid. Air enters and exits the bottle without mixing with the milk, greatly reducing gas, colic, and messy spit-ups, while also minimizing pressure on your baby's ear canals. The BPA- and Phthalate-free bottle comes in a variety of sizes so your baby can grow with the VentAire system.
Easy Cleanup and Convenient, Pre-Calibrated Bottles
For added convenience, the VentAire bottles open at both ends for easy cleaning. The bottles, bottle caps, vent disks, and nipples are safe to wash on the top rack of the dishwasher or can be rinsed with hot, soapy water. Plus, the bottles feature convenient, pre-calibrated markers, so you never have to guess at how much liquid you are giving your baby at each feeding.

Better than the liner system,
By A Customer
This review is from: Playtex VentAire Advanced Standard Bottles 9-Ounce, 3 Pack (Colors Vary) (Baby Product)
We started out using the Playtex Nurser system and I hated it. The bags were a pain (...), and not worth the money, and the nipples left a huge ring around my baby's mouth and she leaked formula out of both sides. It was awful. We switched to the Vent-Aire bottles. They have worked okay for us, but I have found that the vent in the bottom becomes clogged quite easily. Also, I always notice air coming in through the nipple and getting bubbles in the formula, which these bottles are supposed to prevent. I have found that a vacuum can be eliminated by loosening the cap on the bottom, but at 3am it's hard to remember you did that, and you and baby end up covered in formula.The Stage 1 nipples are slow, yes, but that's the point. If baby is gulping too much air, then a slower nipple is the way to go. I found that after my baby used these nipples for 2 weeks she had no problem getting fluid out of them. The Y cut in the nipple just takes some getting used to. Also, using a traditional bottle warmer is ineffective with these bottles, because heat cannot travel up through the bottom of the bottle to heat the formula, and of course plastic isn't a good heat conductor anyway. As for the baby who got sick using these bottles- I don't see how that is possible. It's not air that causes acid reflux- it's diet. Granted, if she was swallowing air, it could cause spit up, but not spitup so bad a baby ends up hospitalized. Burping a baby relieves the problem before it even becomes a major issue. I would recommend these bottles over the Playtex Nursers- but I think that I would go with the Johnson's Healthflow system in the future.

an excellent change!,

This review is from: Playtex VentAire Advanced Standard Bottles 9-Ounce, 3 Pack (Colors Vary) (Baby Product)
I switched to the VentAire bottles because my one-month old son was gulping too much air with the regular Gerber bottles and 3-hole nipples and I DID NOT want to use the drop-in liner system. The amount of air that is swallowed is CONSIDERABLY less therefore causing alot less discomfort during and after a feeding. Be forwarned however that the Stage 2 nipples that come with the bottles are FAST for a little one! I purchased some Stage 1 nipples (0-6 months) for the bottles and they are really hard to get any liquid out of (I tried it myself) so I'm using the Stage 2 nipples. After using these bottles for about two weeks, he has adjusted just fine to the fast-flow nipples. I also like how both ends of the bottle come off for better cleaning! The box warns that the "Bubble Free Vent" may become clogged. I have not had a problem with that. The only problem I'm having is finding extra Stage 2 nipples in the stores- all the extra nipples for sale are Stage 1. Good luck!

Doesn't Leak!!!,
By
This review is from: Playtex VentAire Advanced Standard Bottles 6-Ounce, 3 Pack (Colors Vary) (Baby Product)
When I first saw this, I was sure that it would leak, but it just seemed like sure an innovative idea that I bought one anyway.I unscrewed the nipple ring and the bottom of the bottle. I was so sure that it would leak if I put anything liquid in it. I filled the bottle full of water and tossed it around on a white sheet to see if it leaked. It didn't, but I still wasn't sure. So, I washed the bottle in hot water. I've noticed that some bottles leak after being washed. Then, I tried the sheet experiment again. It didn't leak. This bottle is 9 months old and still hasn't leaked! 2115|R1OMF22BUZEGO1;2115|RMDL6W9WZUHSX;2115|R3CRMLM82ZGAOZ;
