So disappointing...,

This book took me over a week to read because I kept putting it down I was so ticked with this book. After completing this novel, I still couldn't tell you who Jordan Moore is - I was not convinced that she was this no-nonsense entertainment lawyer, that she and Jayon were bestfriends before lovers, that she was devoted to getting custody of her son back (actually, I don't remember even reading any real interaction between Jordan and her son - besides a brief phone call), that she & Jayon's breakup would lead her to engage in these romps with guys she just met, a couple were her clients, and let me not forget that she got into a fight with some woman in a bar & I'm not going to even go there about the Marcus situation - it was all too much drama for me, I kept saying to myself outloud - the author actually wants me to like her? This book's weakness was in the storytelling - Ms. Morris did more telling than showing, and her little wrap up at the end was too tidy - I didn't believe in any of the characters, and I feel like I wasted $14. I would not recommend this book to anyone.

Having Fun Yet?,

This review is from: Playthang (Paperback)
Jordan Moore's relationship with her boyfriend is experiencing turbulent times. His behavior is similar to when he was cheating on her once before. Knowing she can't take the heartache anymore, she decides it is best to end things. However, now is not a good time for her to be lonely, especially while she battles her ex-husband for custody of their son. To compensate for her inner turmoil, she has numerous affairs with multiple men. She looks at it as just having fun and being liberated. When her friends start to question her new behavior, Jordan has to step back and evaluate what she's really doing to herself. She also meets a wonderful man who seems to be all she wants and needs. Will he be enough to calm her down and will she be satisfied with one relationship? Will she find the love she seeks when she faces her insecurities head-on? PLAYTHANG follows Jordan as she travels on an emotional roller coaster ride. Readers may not agree with the decisions she makes, but they will see her growth as a result of them. The book is well-written with fully developed characters, although there was no clear continuity in the flow. If you like relationship drama, you'll enjoy this novel. This novel took some time to read. It started slow and was too detailed. The story line was over explained and there were a lot of unanswered questions at the end of the story.Diva Reviewer - Angelia Brown [...]

Not Really Impressed,

I was not really impressed with this book by Janine Morris. It was a little predictable and lacked excitement. I think the message that she was tring to convey kind of came through, but I'm not sure I would recommend.
