3.0 out of 5 stars Weak Compared To "Don't Back Down"...
Guitar, guitar, guitar.... Where is the killer guitar? Yeah the Ramones didn't have solos, but they were the RAMONES!!! This album just continues the slide downhill from their two best albums "Move Back Home" & "Don't Back Down". Guess these guys can only rock if the word "Back" is in the album title. Start with those two albums and work your way back in time, not...

Who would of thought that a band about 20 years old would still make music as good as it was when they were younger? The first time I listened to this cd, every song sounded excellent to me. Of course there are a few weaker ones but they are still pretty good and catchy, and that's what I love about The Queers. The best songs on here are, "See You Later F*ckface", "Psycho Over You", "Danny Vapid", "I Never Got The Girl", "Tick Tick Tock", and "I Don't Want You Hanging Around". The only bad thing I can really say about this cd is that there aren't enough original Queers songs. Most of them are covers and some are co-written with other people such as Ben Weasel. But other than that, It's an all around great cd. Lookout for the re-issues and new album coming out soon. The Queers don't dissapoint!

4.0 out of 5 stars The Queers Are Back!!!, April 12, 2002

Beyond the Valley was a fun, yet mediocre cd. I was worried that the Queers were losing their sound. I was pleasantly surprised when I listened to this CD...it rocks. If you liked Punk Rock Confidential or Don't Back down, there is no way you won't like this. The CD starts of with one of the catchier tracks "Get A Life And Live It". That is followed by the best track on the CD, See Ya Later ...face with the catchiest chorus I have heard in years..."See you later ...face, see you later ...face, see you in the funny pages... you!" Other standouts include the hilarious "You're A Homo" and "Generation of Swine" This is the best pop-punk cd to come out in a while.

2002 is shaping up to be the year of the comeback...first Bad Religion, now the Queers. Lets hope the rest of 2002 brings even more surprises.

This review is from: Pleasant Screams (Audio CD)
This is with out a doubt the best Queers album, and one of the best punk rock album of all time. I'd say it is in the top 50 Punk Rock albums of all time. I can't wait to hear the new one.
