an electro-freeform-jazz-rock epic, April 7, 2004

This is my favorite album of last year. I worked at a radio station, and amongst all the random finds and albums from my favorite bands, this was the most surprising, and the best.
This is one of those albums you have to close the doors, turn out the lights, and listen to all the way through in one sitting. The tracks segue from one to another, interweaving between hyper-active, intense frantic gestures crescendoing to breakdowns and back down to precise, calm, moderate interludes.
It's challenging, asymmetrical, frantic, liberating freeform.
