My understanding is that this album was written during a time of turmoil for Pink and her then husband. The whole album is great! "Please Don't Leave Me" is exceptionally telling. Pink: Funhouse Tour - Live in Australia Starring Pink (Nov 17, 2009) is an awesome concert! If you get the chance to see it or want to purchase it here at Amazon ... DO IT! Her 'Cirque du Pink' performance is just incredible!

Cool beat, interesting lyrics and fun melody. What more can you ask for? Pink is cranking out the hits these days and more power to her. I hope she writes a dozen more like this one. Very radio friendly and suitable for multiple plays without it becoming "tired". Great song!

Good but not great. Too many slow songs for me. "I'm Not Dead" is superior to this CD.

"Please don't leave me" is the Pink single that has gotten plenty of airplay. Pink has decided to change her sound from being the post-punk anti-Britney to the whiny, emo,"alternative" rock type. Pink used to present herself as a diamond in the rough. Now,she goes for a smooth, bland, boring sound. Then again, her musical mentor is Linda Perry of the annoying song "What's going on?" It's the typical whiny codependent song. Her "please, pleeeease don't leave me" pushes the listener to the point of changing the radio station. Please, please,PELASE turn this song off! Or change the station!

When it has came down to Pink, she hasn't really hit that nail on the head with the strongest songs yet. After her recent breakup from her marriage, that still hasn't yet stopped her from making music. But she still has shown that scorned feeling with her latest single Please Don't Leave Me, the third single from her album Funhouse. The song wasn't a bad song, but not Pink at her absolute best. I also didn't find the video to be as appealing, where Pink is just like one of the desperate housewives, where she tries to seduce her lover, and then kill her all at once. I really wasn't drawn into the song, it just didn't have the zing that her other songs like Stupid Girls, Family Portrait and Get This Party Started showed from her. Hopefully, when she comes out with her next single, Pink can say, "So What, I have better than this!"Song: C 1/2- |
