3.0 out of 5 stars OK
In the Friendship Ring Series, all characters have completely different personalities, Zoe's popular&one of the guys, Olivia is nice&polite, Morgan is tough&brave, and CJ is a fearful worrywart with the strength to fight for what she really wants. The idea in this book is great, and the character is fairly realistic, but some parts where she's afraid just...

i thought this book was great! its about a girl who is in 7th grade. her mom is always acting like her best friend, and she doesnt have any friends her own age except for one girl, morgan who gets on her nerves. cj (the girls name) wants to quit ballet and instead play soccor but she cannot figure out how to tell her mom that she would like to. her mother is set on her becoming a ballerina and she doesnt want to crush her mothers dreams 4 her. this book is relly interesting to read, and i think rachel vail is a very gud writer.

I really liked Please, Please, Please! Rachel Vail is a greatauthor. This book was very realistic; about a girl who having troubleliving up to her mother's expectations. Anyone can relate to CJ, a ballet maniac, who misses being a regular kid. Ms. Vail really understands how us girls feel! Also, it has some good ballet information in it, too. Take note, all you dancers out there!

I think this book was awesome. I like that through the whole book you are trying to figure out what CJ is going to do about her mother, her friends, and her dance. CJ's mother wants her to be a professional ballerina because that is what her mother wanted. CJ thinks that her mother is trying to live her dream through her. This is a very good book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Keep On Rocking, Rachel!, February 12, 2000

I have to say that Rachel Vail has succeeded 100 percent in the area of realistic. Because there is no other word to describe this book. CJ's quiet worrying is right on the dot as to how Rachel wants CJ to be seen as. And Rachel uses lovely descriptive words. Hats off to you, Rachel Vail.

thankS!

OKay, so you're a nervouse about buying this book? Rigth. Don't be. To tell you the truth I don't usally like reading books in a series like this because they seem to loose a certain flair. To me they all turn into the same he said she said story line. Not the case with the friendship ring. I think the way Rachel Vail Writes a different book for every charicters point of veiw of the same events is great. Two Friendship rings way way up! And read the rest of her series too k?They ALL rock.
