Please confirm, this DOES NOT work with OSX 10.5X? I have a newer MacBook with 10.5.8. I'd like to buy this product, but it appears to not have compatible drivers for OSX Snoe Leopard.

The Drivers for the Alfa AWUS036H , From OSX 10.4 to 10.6 are the same.
You can find all drivers, including Windows, from XP to Win 7, Linux and all Mac OSX at this location http://kismaxx.blogspot.com/2010/10/free-wifi-app-software-mac-windows.html

Tried downloading that driver archive, and I only see the 10.5 Mac driver (which one user reported crashed his 10.6 Mac). The Alfa site is "down for maintenance" which could mean anything. Does anyone have the 10.6 driver? I would appreciate it if someone could email it. Reply if you can help. Thanks!

As a previous user reported, the driver for 10.6 is here: http://www.alfa.com.tw/in/front/bin/ptlist.phtml?Category=105397 (it was down for maintenance last time I checked, but it is up now).

HOWEVER....that page says, in red, at the bottom of the table of driver downloads:

***AWUS036H does not support Mac OS 10.6.7 and later version.***

In my case, the thing "worked" as an antenna, but it was not powerful enough to effect a difference in my reception over the built in antenna in my MBP running 10.6.7. In fact, reception was worse.

Hope that helps.
