Wow, the cover looks awful. Who designs these things? It must be a joke.

That is literally the ugliest Bluray cover I've ever seen. I will actually order this out of market so I don't have to look at that botched design job.

Agreed, for a movie that has such an easily identifiable style baked right into the celluloid (late 70s, early 80s neon-drenched beauty), for them to make such a slapdash Photoshop job is criminal. I'm hoping that the cover art is a placeholder, but I fear it's not.

This was the poster they were using when I visited Italy. I thought it was bad when I saw it there too. Movie makes up for the bad cover though.

YES. It looks like something a kid threw together in their high school digital imaging class. When the film was in theaters it had great promo posters... how did they stray so far?

I ordered the French steelbook, fully knowing that the disc won't work because it's region 2 and PAL. I guess I will put the disc in an American case and try to sell it back to Europe where someone might actually like the ugliest cover I've ever seen, haha.

A cheaper solution would be to find custom artwork online and print it out.

Desirée says:
Actually Blu-ray is neither PAL nor NTSC, and concerning the region code you might get lucky.
A ton of movies on Blu-ray are not region coded at all, depending on the studio (for example, WB is always region free).

Wow, this really showcases how shallow America has gotten.

The Canadian cover art is even worse. The CGI car is rendered worse than something in a Playstation 2 game! I wish they used the same art that they used for the book cover and OST.

Here is the Japanese release box art and in a good number of cases, the Japanese get some of the best box art's.
