The heel on this boot is perfect for standing and moving around for hours. The laces at the top make the boot adjustable for bigger calves and it is easy to get on and off. Makes a pirate costume look more authentic. Can be worn thigh high for a roguish appearance, or folded down for a more laid back look. Ulta comfy.

I bought these boots to wear on Halloween with my sexy pirate costume. They were perfect! Great quality for the price and the heel height is comfortable for walking or standing for long periods. The boots arrived well before the expected ship date giving me plenty of time to "tweak" my costume (I changed out the black laces at the back of the boots for red satin ones to add a bit of flair). I would definitely recommend these boots and this company.

These boots are quite comfortable. They are for a Baroque Dance Company, so comfort and fit are important. The leather is durable. Thanks for the timely shipping.

I wear a size 11B. Some boots I have found I can surprisingly wear a 10 or at least try it on for general look and feel then order an 11B. This boot fit like a 9.5. It is comprised of very thin material, obviously not real for the price, but very cute. They can be folded down for the knee height look. I would say it runs 1.5 sizes small, and would work for a costume if you could get a size big enough (1.5 sizes larger than your normal size), but I can't see it standing up to regular wear. I also bought a pair of Chinese Laundry thigh highs for about the same price. Those 11's fit great. They are comfortable and sexy. I could even wear thin-average thickness socks with the Chinese Laundry thigh high boots, and they feel more comfortable to stand in. I will get a lot of wear out of the CL's.

I ordered a size 8 as I normally would and when the thing arrived it was so small my size 6 mom couldn't even get it on her foot. No refunds so I am out the money. Worst service ever!

I already owned a pair of Pleaser Raven boots that are quite comfortable and have a good heel and sole so I thought I would purchase these at there low price. I also had a gift card and some points which lowered the price to around $60. They arrived quickly, I had them in a couple days. When they arrived I tried them on and checked them out. They look good and fit well (I had expected them to be tighter in the foot part needing to stretch out). But the sole and heel were very cheaply made. They looked very slippery so I added a safe step sole pad and a heel protector. The previous pair of Pleaser boots were a little more money (not Much)and definitely were a litlle better quality. For the cheap price of both boots I can't complain. I'm really not hard on boots so they will probably last a good while but for someone whose boots take abuse I'd spend a little more money for better quality. Both pairs have an attractive look and definitely reach high on your thigh though. I have not worn them yet so I don't know if they really are slippery and how durable they are.

These boots are so high fashion, I give them 5 stars . I love love love wearing them. The leather is really smooth and the heel is perfect for someone who doesn't want a stiletto. I received so many comments on them. The only cons are that they can scuff kinda easy at the tip and the tie in the back is not very adjustable so if you have skinny legs, they may not fill out the boots and caused them to sag or fall; then they kinda look like over the knee boots instead of thigh high and that can alter the entire outfit but i just stuff mine with socks so i can fill them out and they stay around my thighs. But anyway they are my favorite boots at at the moment , in my opinion they are worth every penny.

These are okay. I have other boots from this company that I prefer simply because they have an ankle zipper. These are real hard to put on and get off without the cardboard base in the heel bending. An ankle zipper would have made sense. Otherwise, they are comfortable and decent quality.

I wear an 8.5 so I ordered a 9. They fit like a 9, so I wear a pair of slightly thick socks and they fit great.
