5.0 out of 5 stars Fun to the max!
Cami Dalton hit the mark with this extremely witty, entertaining, sexy, and suprisingly emotional addition to the Harlequin Blaze line. Max Stone is an awesome hero (despite the questionable tag line on the cover that calls him 'magically delicious') with tons of humor, sex appeal, and heart. This is a quick read with plenty of hot scenes and a great light paranormal...

3.0 out of 5 stars HOT, HOT, HOT!
Wow, this has got to be the hottest HQ Blaze I've read so far! Not that I've read that many but, boy, none of my previous Blaze reads came close to this one. Seriously, the heroine was almost a sex-driven maniac, and the hero was more than happy to oblige, of course. ;) Halfway through the story, I started to wonder how the heck they managed to keep it going like that...

3.0 out of 5 stars HOT, HOT, HOT!, August 7, 2009
Wow, this has got to be the hottest HQ Blaze I've read so far! Not that I've read that many but, boy, none of my previous Blaze reads came close to this one. Seriously, the heroine was almost a sex-driven maniac, and the hero was more than happy to oblige, of course. ;) Halfway through the story, I started to wonder how the heck they managed to keep it going like that. Not. Humanly. Possible! (LOL)

I won't write a plot summary here because, frankly, it is completely unbelievable and I didn't care much about the whole "treasure hunting" thing. The "lover's box" that had the power to fulfill any woman's sexual fantasies and held the key to a lost treasure was just a prop to get Max and Cassie "up close and personal". I wasn't really into the story in the 1st chapters, Cassie came across as too ditzy and harebrained, and I was as "lost" as Max, who couldn't make any sense of the things that came out of her mouth. Then I decided to just suspend disbelief altogether, relax and enjoy the ride. The fact that Cassie kept controling Max's libido with the help of the "lover's box" seemed a bit unfair to me but, WTH, he wasn't complaining so who was I to find anything wrong with it?

All in all, this was a very funny and hot - have I said that yet? ;) - read, but I'm not sure I bought the HEA. Max and Cassie were definitely in lust with each other, but love? I don't think so, they didn't spend enough time out of the sack to be in love by the end of the book. Anyway, I do believe they will be having "wild pagan sex", as Cassie calls it, for a long, long time. ;)

One of the best Blaze books yet, this one has it all. Steamy, inventive, and totally hot sex right out of the gate but never losing sight of the most important part... their emotions. And did I mention funny? Lots of laugh out loud moments here and many more smiles. Although I'm still debating on whether the box was responsible for everything or not. ;) Looking forward to more from Ms. Dalton.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great escapism!, August 16, 2008

Like most American men I don't usually read romance novels. I stumbled on this book and bought it on an impulse. This book is fun-to-read and it has just about everything in it - it has a magical Gypsy box... from Russia with love? And it has a hot gal & guy, some very humorous moments, sex scenes that would make a sailor blush, and a nice plot. In short it has all the ingredients you'd expect to find in good escapist
fiction! Hmmm.... think I might try reading romance books more often...

The humor in this sexy steamy story kept me enthralled. I laughed outloud while sitting in the doctor's office reading. An absolute must read.

A nice easy hot read. Ms. Dalton took a few familiar movie themes and rolled them into an enjoyable premises. Complicated matters are just glossed over, but that is also part of the book's charm.
