5.0 out of 5 stars Best Female Rap Group Ever
I just want to say that this album is off the hook. This ish is banging anywhere from your car, parties, and your home stereo system. SNOOP did it again. He created a new group of female rap artists which the West Coast havent been strong in for awhile now. Doggy's Angels have a lot of production by big producers making the beats jammin'. This is a pretty good album and it would be even better if Snoop and the rest of his crew weren't all over it. It's a good one to listen to in the car. I would recommend it, but maybe buy it used. That's pretty much your only choice right about now because it's out of print...

With guest appearances by artists like Snoop himself, Nate Dogg, Layzie Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Kokane, Tha Eastsidaz, and much more. All of the tracks are all good. My favorites are the ones featuring Snoop and his Eastsidaz, Kokane, Nate Dogg, and Long Beach Gangstaz. This is Long Beach flavor in your ears. All I can say is GO OUT AND BUY THE ALBUM. Its really good if you are a fan of Snoop Dogg or you love gangsta rap but this Cd has a female edge to it. BUY IT

Doggy's Angels is a really good album and is a must buy for any Snoop Dogg fan. The CD features many songs with Snoop along others like Nate Dogg, Suga Free, Tray Dee, Goldie Loc, Bad Azz, and others. The Angels themselves are so so but there is hot production and nearly every song is a banger. Give this CD a chance!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Debut Disc!, September 24, 2001
This review is from: Pleezbalevit (Audio CD)
With very little exposure( MTV and BET played the videos Baby If Youre Ready and Pleezbeleevit a total of twice each), this album still managed to go gold. Amazing considering these were three fairly unknown female rappers. Word of Mouth I guess....

Anyways this is another quality release from the DoggHouse Label. All the in house producers are here including Meech Wells and Battlecat and all the familiar faces show up such as Snoop, Tha Eastsidaz, Bad Azz, Kokane, Latoya Williams Layzie Bone etc.

Memorable songs include Gangsta In Me which is an instant classic. ( some may remember hearing this song on the intro to the Eastsidaz debut album). The two songs released Baby If YOure Ready and Pleezbalevit are two of the best songs on the cd and are west coast classics. The song called Game to Get Over is truly gangsta sporting a hard beat with hard real lyrics and flow.

This cd isnt without its flaws though. Cold Crush Gangsta is just annoying and the skits dont help the cause. Also sometimes the ladies voices tend to sound the same on some songs and they barely vary their flow. I believe that if this cd was 13 or 14 songs instead of 19 it would be classic. But as it stands it is still a good purchase and worth your time and money. if you like West Coast Music or Snoop Dogg this is a must buy.

too bad the angels are off dogghouse this and the first eastsidaz were the best 2 releases on dogghouse records only problem was that snoop was on too many tracks on both cd's I know snoop was the reason they all bnlew up but please let your artists shine it's not all about you the angels had some skills on the mic but since the mainstream was'nt feeling them or the eastsidaz, snoop had to change his style and go pop but if you miss that old west coast flavor and wanna hear some thug queens on the mic this is for you.

2.0 out of 5 stars They Get An "E" for Effort..., June 8, 2001

The title of my review says it all. I bought this CD 2 days ago because I had heard a snippet of the song "Baby If You're Ready." I LOVED it. The vocalist, Latoya Williams, is great. She needs to do some work MINUS Doggy's Angels. Of the remaining 18 tracks, I only liked "Curious" and "Pop Your Collar 2 Dis." The whold hard-core thing just doesn't work here.

5.0 out of 5 stars WHOA.....What are you guys talking about?!?!, February 28, 2001
By
This review is from: Pleezbalevit (Audio CD)
First off.....Dogghouse Records is putting out nothing but the bomb tracks. These girls can't hang with some of the main male rappers in the biz. But these girls put it down! Regardless. I'm getting tired of all these rappers talking about how...I got the bling bling, wrist on ice, popping cristal. That ish is getting old. These girls are straight from the hood, and speak the truth about it. I think these girls have been waiting in line too long. These girls will probably fade some of the male rappers. Snoop is tight, doggy's angels is tight, eastsidaz is tight. GOD DAMN IT THE WHOLE LBC IS TIGHT!!!! And if you can't see that then your missing out on some hot tracks. -gone-
