Must-have for installing outlets
In renovating several rooms in the house, one of the things I hate is the hassle in changing outlets. The new colors begged for white outlets, so I was left with the task of changing them all out. This tool is a must-have if you are changing a number of outlets. I like tools that make the job easier and this is one of them. Manipulating an outlet, especially with 12-gauge...

Only tryed once
Unfortunately I bought this to change out a GFI outlet in my bathroom. When I got it I tryed to use it, but due to the test switch in the middle of a GFI outlet, this cannot be used as it will not line up with the holes for the outlets. This is the reason for the 3 star rating.

In renovating several rooms in the house, one of the things I hate is the hassle in changing outlets. The new colors begged for white outlets, so I was left with the task of changing them all out. This tool is a must-have if you are changing a number of outlets. I like tools that make the job easier and this is one of them. Manipulating an outlet, especially with 12-gauge wire, is not fun with one hand while you work to get the screws aligned. This tool allows you to easily push the outlet back in the box with one hand while manipulating the wires, keeping the outlet level and straight and aligning the screws.A safety side benefit are the built-in lamps, which show you if power is present. I prefer to use other testers for this, but I consider it a safety check before I pull an outlet out. All in all, a useful timesaver!
