A handy reference for all phases of residential plumbing. Welll presented for homeowner use. Reference to code paragraphs is extensive but useless without a copy of the code. Requires contacting the local plumbing inspector's office to determing whether your area goes by the International Residential Code or the Uniform Plumbing Code. Restrictions in this book are given for both codes.

If you have an older edition be wary as numerious details of the codes changed from the second edition to this third edition.

I've used the previous edition extensively and this latest edition contains more info on items I install including on-demand water heaters. Clear and easy to find info you want. Can't praise it enough!

This book has all the required code information I was looking for. It has very clear illustrations that show what the codes state. I am very sastisfied with the book. I am glade I purchased it. "A must" for anyone that is not a plumber and wants to do there own work. A+++++ rated by me.

This guide answered most of my basic questions I had about replacing a sewer pipe. Although it did not indicate support material type (softfill, sand, etc...) or prefered methods for hydrotesting. It is worth the money and will sometimes show you things you might be forgetting. Any unanswered questions I had I covered with the city inspection department.

I built my house 3 years ago and this book was indispensable! I passed every inspection with no dispute. This book made it through 7 months of construction living in a gang box and held up WELL. Great product.

I bought this book after reading various internet sites that answered DIY plumbing questions. The book is convinient, easy to follow for a person who is not in the trade. It is limited to standard applications such as kitchen and bathroom areas but then how many times are you concerned about an ouside BBQ sink?
