4.0 out of 5 stars Worth watching if you're a fan, otherwise....
Funny, entertaining, but basically a sketch, not a movie. If you're a Paul Dinello fan, you gotta see it. If you don't know the comics already, you may be a little non plussed. Download it, it's worth a few bucks. :-)

1.0 out of 5 stars GUMP FICTION! STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES!
'Plump Fiction' sounded good on paper I suppose, but unfortunately the jokes don't work at at and the entire film is corny and made me wince with embarrassment for the cast! It's that stupid and none of the jokes work. I love 'Pulp Fiction' and this is just a really bad parody of a great film and many others. You'd be better off watching the original film as it offers...

5.0 out of 5 stars An exceptionally funny parody, July 9, 2006

This review is from: Plump Fiction [VHS] (VHS Tape)
It's been several years since I saw this film, but it has to be one of the funniest send ups of a genre of film I have ever seen. I watched it more than once and it held up well. Much of the humor is subtle, some not so subtle, but most of it hit the mark for me.

4.0 out of 5 stars What Quintin doesn't want you to see!!, January 29, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Plump Fiction [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This movie was hilarious! My sides hurt after it was over. The filming is wonderful and the shots put me right back into Pulp Fiction and Resevoir Dogs and then hit me with a laugh. Never before have I been so impressed with a spoof as I have with this one. The acting is perfect, and the Christopher Walken impersonations are frighteningly perfect! Its a must see. I'll watch it again and again and again and again.

It's that stupid and none of the jokes work. I love 'Pulp Fiction' and this is just a really bad parody of a great film and many others. You'd be better off watching the original film as it offers more entertainment and laughs in the first 10 minutes than this film does in it's entirety.

5.0 out of 5 stars SpoofYah!!!, July 18, 2009
This review is from: Plump Fiction (DVD)
If you apreciate spoof movies this is a forgotten gem.
It covers Pulp Fiction , Natural Born Killers , Reservoir Dogs as mains, with a lil Forrest Gump and a side of Nell....the one liners are great.
Also another less heard of spoof movie is Silence of the Hamms, with Dom DeLouise playing Hannibal Leckter, I've yet to find a dvd version of that one, really happy to find Plump on dvd, only had it on vhs.....THANK YOU AMAZON !!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars JULIE BROWN OUT DOES HER SELF! PARODY OF PUMP FICTION!, January 27, 1999
By A Customer
As you may have guessed this is a parody of Pulp Fiction. Though I have not seen Pulp, I saw this because I knew Julie Brown (NO! NOT "DOWN TOWN JULLIE BROW"----other one....plays P.E. Teacher in Clueless) Anyway, I have seen tiny pieces of Pulp, so I was able to still understand PLUMP. Julie Brown is Uma Thurman's character. The movie is filled with gags at "Clerks", "Nell", "Natural Bron Killers"--- which the actual people are on a hunt for the director for making them look differnt from what they are...but it's not Oliver Stone, I dont quite remember the name, but its very similar! The reason why it's PLUMP fiction, because Julie Brown's character which is the Uma Thurman character accidentaly eats food that is "laced" with CocRoach poison, which are what the Samuel L. Jackson and John Travolta character's are.... they kill Roachs!

1.0 out of 5 stars This Movie Just Isn't Funny, January 6, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Plump Fiction (DVD)
I rented this movie expecting it to be hilarious. Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs are two of my favorite movies, and I also saw Natural Born Killers and Forrest Gump. Some of the visual scenes (such as the Reservoir Nuns receiving their identities) will cause you to smile, but the movie is plagued by a poor script, some bad actors (the actors portraying the main characters from Natural Born Killers were the only good ones) and about 95% of the jokes are just not funny. This movie was painful to watch and incredibly disappointing.

3.0 out of 5 stars ha ha funny, July 3, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Plump Fiction [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Plot is similar to Pulp Fiction. Includes parodies of Nell (starring Jodie Foster), Natural Born Killers (starring Woody Harrelson), and Resevoir Dogs (starring Harvey Keitel). I like Julie Brown and it's pretty funny. Not worth the price [...]

5.0 out of 5 stars Julie Brown rules the world, February 27, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Plump Fiction [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Anyone who would be pathetic enough to write an online review, while slagging the film obviously had nothing better to do. This movie is a parody, and like most parodys it is absolutley hilarious. They persue the obnoxious personality complex so deliciously and run so many things into the ground that should have been for so long...its about time Julie Brown and her legacy did it. Anyone expecting to gain some deep thoughts on life from this film is a moron for attempting to in the first place. Its exactly what you expect it to be, and yes you will laugh outrageously. If you dont then you must have the same digestional problems as the first idiot who wrote a review on this movie. One film critic enough went far enough as to say this film could offend a five year old, well if that doesnt make you want to watch it what the hell else will, aside from the picture :) NATURAL BLOND KILLERS is the f***ing best one of all!! See it for yourself and you'll be laughing all the way to the clinc.

5.0 out of 5 stars For people who DON'T need assistance in understanding humor, May 15, 2000

This review is from: Plump Fiction (DVD)
It seems rather painfully obvious that some people have had problems understanding the humor in this film. Maybe some people are not aware of what a parody is. For those of you who DO and enjoyed Plump Fiction, Nell, Forest Gump, Natural Born Killers, etc. you will definately be in for a great time. Julie Brown is sensational portraying Uma Thurman and accidentally overdosing on roach poison. I found the pardoy on Nell to be painfully hilarious. The people who slagged this film should not be judged harshly for their lack of humor and common sence but rather pitied and felt sorry for, especially the poor fellow who suggested the movie get zero stars. Now how proud do you think he was of himself for taking the time out to make sure SOMEBODY did't bother watching this film.

I suggest you look at all the reviews and see that the MAJORITY of us indeed loved it and it is certainly worth a glimpse.
