2.0 out of 5 stars What the SHEEZY?! March 25, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Well honestly I probably should not have given this a one star since I COULDN'T READ IT! This book is written in French. The title is in English and the description says it is written in English so unless my peepers are deceiving me this is not able to be read by a person not reading French grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. (or le' grrrrrrrrr if you do read French).

EDITED REVIEW: This book now downloads to English and has some helpful tips but many lead back to reading of the magazine the book originated from or go on to give different advice in another chapter. On the plus side (no pun intended), the tips given are general rules of thumb, (when not contradicting). Buy as quality of a dress as you can, stick with classics and use accessories to make the dress "new", wear shape-wear to look more sleek, (without any reference to what brands they consider a great piece or bargain for the money), I think you get the point.

On the down side the information is too common and nothing I would consider new, or old school (in my opinion), of how plus size women should dress. Wear solid colors from head to toe, don't be too flashy, Wear short dresses...but not to short, for Christmas time to be elegant wear a long dress but don't show your feet(???), then a reference to wearing a long dress but make sure it is ankle length for dancing. So apparently if you buy a dress for Christmas you won't ever wear it to go dancing.

This book seemed like a bunch of articles from the magazine put together to make a book that really didn't tell me anything new. I suppose if you are struggling to find your place in this world as a curvy or plus size woman it might help you see shopping is no different no matter what size you are... look for quality, buy the best you can afford or buy off season to find a bargain, use accessories to get "the look" and dress for your age not your clothing size.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Very Concise and Informative Guide December 26, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book gets straight to the point and addresses the issues involved in finding the right gown for you. For those who are concerned about how to go about getting that perfect gown for the holiday parties, this is the book for you.

There are some incredible secrets and tips in here that even Adele, Beyonce, and Kim Kardashian use. Along with addressing the issues with finding the right gown, the book also addresses the issues of how to accessorize your outfit with the right shoes, jewelry, hats, and more.

For the price of this book, this is a must have for any woman looking for solid advice and tips. This book offers great value, it is very concise and informative, and is highly recommended. Plus-Size-Magazine.com has done good again with another great guide!

More About the Author

Founder of Plus-Size-Magazine.com (USA), PLus-Size-Tall.com (UK) and Ma-Grande-Taille.com (France).

What has a French guy, who is neither big, no tall, to do with Plus Size Fashion? Simple story: Blame it on Corinne, my dear full-figured sister! In 2007, she and I had an exchange about plus size fashion. Why was there no magazines dedicated to plus size fashion, while more than 40% of women in the France, in the US, and in the UK are considered "full-figured".

We went online and were amazed to see that there were not that many websites providing plus size fashion news at the time. So, we launched together our first site, Ma-Grande-Taille.com, a site dedicated to French curvy women and big and tall men.
Then, in 2008, we launched Plus-Size-Tall.com, a site for British curvy women and big men.
In 2012, we launched Plus-Size-Magazine.com, for our US readers, again for women and men.
Finally, in late 2012, we launched CURVISSIME, a high end plus size fashion magazine for the iPad. This monthly magazine has an English and a French edition.
