5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing deal!
I own an older Callaway driver. It's a VFT model about 10 years old and was about $400. It has the smaller head compared to these larger headed drivers. I read the reviews on this very inexpensive driver. So I went for it. The first day on the driving range was just to get a feel for it without any great expectations. 3.0 out of 5 stars Inexpensive driver with some quality issues
This driver definitely will boom out the big drives you'd expect from a 460cc head. For the price, that's a miracle. But - don't fool yourself into thinking this is high-quality gear. The paintwork is cheap, the head is a generic design that shows up in other mfrs' clubs (albeit at a higher price) and its overall feel doesn't lend one to believe it'll hold up more than...

I own an older Callaway driver. It's a VFT model about 10 years old and was about $400. It has the smaller head compared to these larger headed drivers. I read the reviews on this very inexpensive driver. So I went for it. The first day on the driving range was just to get a feel for it without any great expectations. I was shocked at the performance of this driver. I'm used to the smaller head, so this driver was easy to get used to and felt great! I was hitting crappy range balls 275 yards right off the bat! I highly recommend this club.

Update: 4-30-2010. I went and played golf with the usual buddies I play with. I showed them my new driver right off the bat. They asked me what I paid for it, but I wouldn't tell them. I said I would after the round was over. The first Tee-Shot was awesome. Long and right down the middle. They thought I was just lucky with a new club. I out drove all of them. Then it happened again and again. By the 6th hole of the front 9, they were convinced it wasn't luck!

They practically begged me to tell them, but I still didn't. Throughout the round they kept guessing. I did say I got a great deal. None of them guessed less than $150. At the end of the round I told them $20. They just about crapped their pants! 2 of them are buying this club now! I also bought another one just in case something happens to the first one. At this price why not!

5.0 out of 5 stars For $20, you can't beat it..., September 17, 2009
This review is from: TEC Plus 460 cc Ti Matrix Driver Men's (Sports)
I had been shopping for a good driver for a long time. I was looking to spend around $100-150 until I found this, I read a few reviews and decided to try it out.. first day out it took me about 6 holes to get used to it, but after that I was landing them nice and straight down the fairway with no trouble... Excellent for $20!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Value Driver, June 27, 2009

I wanted an inexpensive driver to use with my really old clubs. I recently played a round with a friend of mine who has a $300 driver, and we went yard-for-yard on our drives. He couldn't believe how inexpensive mine was! If you're an amateur like me, this is a great club for your weekend ball abuse.

I saved $200 bucks on a name brand driver, this hits as well as ones sold for 3 times the price. I replaced an older Taylor Made that cost over a hundred bucks 20 years ago. If you are a weekend player, save your money for the name brand & get this one, it is every bit as good, has a graphite shaft also. Well worth the $[...] price.

The paintwork is cheap, the head is a generic design that shows up in other mfrs' clubs (albeit at a higher price) and its overall feel doesn't lend one to believe it'll hold up more than a couple seasons. Most crucially, though, I've taken mine out a fair amount in the last six weeks and it already shows clear signs of stress fracturing and surface cracking on the face, right around the sweet spot. I hit a consistent 270-280 yard drive with the club - for now. But I don't hold much hope it's a club that'll live long if used often.

Man, this is the best 20 bucks I have ever spent, hit two buckets at the range after getting the club and I was smashing the ball. I think I will buy another just to have or give away.
Really nice.

3.0 out of 5 stars Was driving well until it snapped, August 17, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Used by a beginner golfer - this driver was relatively easy to use with moderate forgiveness. With a solid swing and contact it would drive the ball true. After about 4 rounds and a dozen trips to the range, the driver snapped where the head meets the shaft (on a swing with all ball contact). I'm purchasing 1 more - and will update my review after using this one for a the remainder of the season. If it lasts - great. If not, I should be at point where I'd want to upgrade anyway.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Deal!, August 27, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was going to have a driver built for me, but decided to get this for a fun trip with some friends and have now decided that I no longer need a new driver for some time! It does have a graphite shaft, which is already a deal there even if you put a new head and grip on it. The grip is a cheap knockoff but with a good glove it works pretty good. The head is the only real issue I would have with it. Although I have not experienced a problem with it yet I can not tell how durable it is and whether it is a titanium head, although it hasn't dented or changed while playing so I am hoping it is and will be fine. Over all its a great club, feels nice, hits a little soft, and has a lot of bend in the shaft, but makes for a REALLY nice club to start out on.

3.0 out of 5 stars an inexpensive experiment, June 28, 2009

This review is from: TEC Plus 460 cc Ti Matrix Driver Men's (Sports)
Having never owned a large clubhead driver, I wanted to check it out and see whether to invest in a more expensive version. As a hacker, I need all the help I can get. So far, so good. My drives are 15-25 yards longer, still reasonably straight, and low. More later.

5.0 out of 5 stars Who would have thought, April 12, 2012
This review is from: TEC Plus 460 cc Ti Matrix Driver Men's (Sports)
I have had this club for months now and all I can say is wow! For 39 bucks you can't go wrong. I'm just getting in to playing and I recently started hiting straight shots with some lessons and my longest drive with this club was 270. "Crazy". And Im not getting paid or making this up to fluff these folks product just shocked. I had bought a 400 dollar RS11-S and could not hit it futher than 250, and it was a little slugish, so I sent it back and kept my TEC baby.
