The ones we received were slightly different than pictured (in case your ordering for a specific costume), but we used them for toddler games and altered the grips so that they could be attached to clothing and if they were pulled would not damage clothing. The way the clips come, they are very secure.

We didn't receive these exact tails. We got some other ones, which was a little disappointing, but not a biggie. The durability is not really there. Two of them needed to be sewed in the first week, and two others' clips came off. One of which is broke beyond repair, and the other snapped back on..albeit loose.
My daughter loves to wear tails where ever we go, so she sits on them and anything else she does the tail goes with her..haha. So, I can say with experience that these will not really hold up to that kind of use. Otherwise, these are a really good deal considering how many you get. At least she has others she can play with, and the sewing is an easy fix. The clips are not however.
These are not for every day use in other words. Great for costumes though.

these are very cute and a great value for the price. They are a good length for both kids and adults. the clips seem sturdy and look like they will hold up under wear - although you don't expect something like this to last forever!
