Wonderful, full of facts and life,

We've been taking this book out the library for years. We finally bought it. As with all of the books by Ingri and Edgar Parin d'aulaire, the illustrations are beautiful, the stories full of information and the facts true. They are very easy to read but still not wishy-washy. We all learn something everytime we read them. You want to read them over and over. Our children read these for fun. Wonderful.

Okay - Book,

I read this book to my children last night and I found myself editing some of the words. It introduces animistic concepts I am not comfortable with my 3, 5, and 7 year old learning. Although the authors explain it a bit, I think it was not age appropriate. I am aware this maybe because of my personal convictions. The pictures are interesting and probably the my favorite part of the book. We loved the Abraham Lincoln book.
