5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Way to Integrate Math and Literature!, June 14, 2001

This review is from: Pocket Charts For Math (Grades PreK-2) (Paperback)
"Pocket Charts for Math" suggests writing math-related poetry on sentence strips and has reproducibles that can be used for rebusing and as manipulatives. Once the poems and manipulatives are made, they can be reused many times. The activities can easily be done in whole or small groups.

This is a wonderful Kindergarten resource! EVERY activity matches at least one of our state's goals and objectives for Kindergarten, and most likely will match most districts' standards. If you're a Second Grade teacher, though, be careful; I consider the activities most appropriate for PreK/K, and possibly the first part of First Grade.
