The only book to have!,
By john sireci (Blackwood, NJ.) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Pocket Doctor: Your Guide to Good Health While Travelling (Paperback)
As a medical intern, I have utilized many different books/manuals in the hospital and outpatient setting. This book is by far, the most complete and satisfying source that I have ever used. The algorhythms are clearly written, and provide information on diagnosis and treatment based upon current guidelines. It is a must buy!

Skillful Synopsis,
By David R. Shlim "Author of Medicine and Compas... (Jackson Hole, Wyoming) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: The Pocket Doctor: A Passport to Healthy Travel (Paperback)
I have two bookshelves full of books that I regularly consult on travel medicine issues. Obviously, it's impractical for anyone to carry these heavy resources, and therefore it is lucky that there is a skillful synopsis available by Stephen Bezruchka. Dr. Bezruchka has spent a lot of his adult life in developing countries, mostly Nepal. He has distilled the most basic information that might confront the international traveller into a book that is the same size as your passport. The tone is reassuring and authoratative. You will want to read the pre-travel information before you go, but you may not look at the rest of it--until you need it. I think this is the lightest, most useful resource available to travelers.

Seems nice,
This review is from: The Pocket Doctor: A Passport to Healthy Travel (Paperback)
Hello,
I have looked through some of this, but not read it all, i like its size and it seems helpful and will be added as part of my medical kit. I like how it organizes information into categories such as Common Illnesses and then other uncommon ones or something like that. Helps to know what commonly occurs and what doesnt. Information on drugs given in the table should be helpful i think. - Jason
