4.0 out of 5 stars 1/3 directions 2/3 paper
The description of this book was not clear to me when I bought it. (I am an origami person, not really an airplane person.) There are directions for 12 airplanes and (about) 6 pages of paper for each plane. The pages are marked with fold lines and numbers. They are printed with bright, vivid, interesting designs on both sides of the paper. With multiple pages for each...

With multiple pages for each plane, this would be a great book for sharing with several kids (or adults) all making planes together. The only reason I subtracted one star is that after all the preprinted paper is used up, the instructions are mostly useless. The instructions are like "fold on line 4" which is only useful if you have the preprinted paper.

I gave this book to both my father and brother and they loved it. We have contest to see who can throw the planes the furthest. It was a good book to bring the family together.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic airplanes in a fun new format!, November 29, 1998

I have had the priviledge of meeting Mr. Lammers and he told me of this new book idea, a book of miniature airplanes. I have been patiently waiting for his latest creation, the Pocket Fliers, and I am impressed with the outcome. I must say that it is the perfect stocking stuffer and I plan to give many of these unique books away as gifts this holiday season.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Gift!, March 29, 2008
This review is from: Pocket Flyers Paper Airplane Book (Paperback)
I bought this book for my younger brother who has always loved making paper airplanes. This book not only teaches you how to make them but also has a small part about the history of some planes (such as the Concorde 500). The book is small so it is great for travel. It also comes with great airplane making paper. The pocket flyers airplane book tells you tricks and tips for great flying. There are many airplanes to make and you can create each one seven times. The paper either has a cool mummy on it, awesome bugs, or other interesting disigns. My brother started making and flying these the minute he opened the present. Great for ages six to ten!

1.0 out of 5 stars Pocket Flyers rate a ZERO, October 17, 2011
This review is from: Pocket Flyers Paper Airplane Book (Paperback)
I feel qualified to review this "product", since I've been a model airplane enthusiast for 70 years and I'm an Aeronautical engineer. These airplanes are hopeless. Were they constructed from 8.5X11 paper, they'd probably work fine, but this scale is too small. Imagine the disappointment of a young person trying to get these things to fly and the loss to the model airplane community. Shame on you Blackburn & Lammers!

My ten year old granddaughter loved this book. She called shortly after receiving it to tell me she had made a bunch of the planes. Some flew better than others but they were all fun to make. Very colorful and kid sized.
