This is a general reference guide on how to write for historical research. As such, if you are not a confident writer or need some guidelines on how to construct an argument in a paper, do not hesitate to get a copy for your library. On the other hand, if you have a solid background in writing and know how to read and analyze a historical text, this may not be as much use to you.

If you need this book, it is fabulous. Everything is clearly stated and explained. It provides a very solid framework for successful writing in History. However, if you are a practiced writer of History papers, this guide will be of little use to you (but then you wouldn't be ordering it if you did not have to).
