This review is from: The Pocket Idiot's Guide to Homemade Dog Food (Paperback)
Generally good book for the subject. But, they warn against feeding dogs food with garlic or tomatoes (among other things) in it. Then there are several recipes shown that call for garlic! I am using some of the recipes. But many are laden with wheat and corn. Corn is particularly hard for some dogs to digest. Also other ingredients that can cause stomach upset or worse, such as allergy flare-ups. They are very good about warning you to check with a vet and to not use any one recipe as a sole nutritional source. Generally, the book suited my purposes and is useful to those that don't want to poison their dogs' food anymore. Just had another huge finding of more poison in the milk in China. Gotta still be in the dog food!! I don't trust any food from China, but particularly dog food. It may say "distributed" by a U.S. company but likely has ingredients from China.
