Puzzled over Kaidoku?

Following in the footsteps of the popular Sudoku and Kakuro numeric puzzles, Kaidoku (Japanese for the “solver of codes”) was introduced decades ago in some of the smaller puzzle magazines, but then fell into obscurity. • Includes more than 100 puzzles with their solutions
• Pocket-sized edition is perfect for commuters and people on the go

4.0 out of 5 stars Addicting fun, January 8, 2009
This review is from: The Pocket Idiot's Guide to Kaidoku (Paperback)
This book definitely gets you thinking in different ways and, like crossword puzzles, expands your vocabulary! Solving the puzzles is like decoding a message and you don't have to be a crossword addict to do them! There are minor mistakes in a few of the kaidoku, but they are not important to reaching the solution. The first couple of chapters are very helpful in getting started. I don't know why the author compares kaidoku to sudoku; I didn't find it very similar at all. It is more of a code-solving puzzle which I love. I am just worried when I run out of these puzzles there won't be another book to go to!

I love numbers and words, codes and puzzles. Kakuro has kept me happy for the last couple years, but this is seriously awesome! Please please please give us more to do!
