It would not surprise me to find all the pages blank.
J. Conaway
He doesn't mean any of it, he hasn't yet accomplished anything to speak of, and he hasn't yet lived up to any of his promises.
Olympia
This little "book" should scare the crap out of people.
G. Heuston

Oh happy happy joy joy! Now we can be automatons just like our brave revolutionary brothers and sisters of communist China. Those brave soldiers carry their little red books of Mao quotes everywhere they go. Now we can show the Obama Brigades that we are loyalists, too! If you are a true believer in the New World Order and the new communist revolution, you won't want to be caught dead without this little Blue Book of Obama. Now if we can only muster up the resources to buy a plethora of train tickets to give those pesky, free-thinking American patriots and Christian zealots, we can send them to be re-educated (just as our socialist brothers in Germany did 65 years ago). If they are not receptive of the requisite schooling, we can teach them all about the efficient operation of ovens and lampshade manufacturing.

How exciting. Now I can be an Obamatron everywhere I go with my Dear Leader tucked nicely into my government provided pants!

One reviewer said that if you looked inside, you would see this is a joke. Well, I looked inside and it doesn't look like a joke to me. This is an actual collection of Obama quotes. They aren't mocked or changed. It's not delivered tongue-in-cheek in any way that I can see.

The preface/description could be viewed as being parody. Or, if the publisher actually is an Obamaton and zealot, it could be serious. I've certainly heard many Obama supporters, from the regular person off the street all the way to Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann, espouse far more extreme embracements of Obama. So this could very well be serious.

I certainly hope it is a joke. If it isn't, this is not a good sign of things to come. With the cultish behavior of Obama supporters all across the country, though, it has become very hard to discern what is a joke and what is actual idol worship.

I used to be troubled by sleepless nights. But reading in bed this collection of the wisdom of President Obama -- e.g., "The true test of the American ideal is whether we're able to recognize our failings and then rise together to meet the challenges of our time. Whether we allow ourselves to be shaped by events or history, or whether we act to shape them" -- has enabled me to awake each morning refreshed and ready to serve Chairman Obama.

We have elected a pop icon as a President and he knows nothing but how to agitate. The markets have responded accordingly and generations of savings have been washed away. We are headed for a great fall here in America because we let illiterates vote, don't punish wrongdoing, embrace depraved and perverse behavior as 'diversity'. Our President did so poorly in college, he refuses to release his transcripts, which would show that Affirmative Action is the only reason he passed. He will now show us (as if we need to be shown) why Africa, with a six thousand year head start, has failed to produce a single world power. Obama will go down in history as the worst President the United States has ever seen. Goodbye land of opportunity.

I have read only the description. However, the phenomenon itself warrants a review.

Such a book, a collection of remarks, methods, and quotes within communications, would be worthy of study, in the cases where the subject individual has distinguished himself or herself by significant accomplishment, perseverance, self-sacrifice, or true leadership in the interest of the greater good. However, none of these qualifiers yet apply.

Therefore, this is raw Obama worship that is perfectly consistent with the arrogance with which he has carried himself in his first few days in office. This situation has all the makings of despotism.

Cult of personality. Is Obama becoming the next great socialist leader to bring death, destruction, and dictatorship to a great nation?

I am grateful to the History Company for producing this incredibly useful volume. Often, when evangelizing on behalf of the God-Man, I've been frustrated by a lack of on-hand holy materials. Now, when potential converts ask typical questions such as "what is Barack Obama's plan for my life?", I can now instantly produce the relevant speech or Today Show transcript. In "Pocket Obama" the wisdom of He Whose Face Shines Radiantly is arranged in a convenient alphabetical format, covering all aspects of the Leader's thought. No stone is left unturned as the Divine One condescends to answer our many questions, from the viability of national health insurance to his forgiveness of our sins. Neophytes and those new to Obama Worship would do well to consult this book. Recommended.
