The coverage in these pages, particularly synchronization of the Pocket PC's contents with a "mother ship" computer for purposes of data backup and electronic mail communication, is accurate and easy to follow. Special situations come up too--for example, users of AOL learn that they have to install a patch to get mail from their Pocket PCs. With its fine index, this book is a very good supplement to Windows CE's online help. --David Wall
Topics covered: Use of the Pocket PC family of personal digital assistants (PDAs), with emphasis on ActiveSync (via the cradle, a modem, or wireless link). Other sections deal with how to do work and have fun with Pocket PC applications, including Pocket Word, Pocket Excel, and Microsoft Windows Media Player.

Great book for beginners!!,

For being a new Pocket PC user this book has made the adjustment very easy. The book explains the functions from taking it out of the box, to the memory, to synchronizing it, to the application very well. The pictures of the screens are also a big help.

Absolutely worthless,

I cannot believe anyone gave this book greater than 1 star. Are they confusing it with a different title? This book is nothing more than a re-hash of exactly the same information you get with the user's manual. It doesn't even give you any of the tips that one reviewer praises it for. Save your money and buy "How To Do Everything With Your iPAQ Pocket PC" instead. That book has LOTS of tips and tricks and is much better for your money.

This book is a good general pocket pc book. Very easy reading and good information and content. If you are a person who never used a pocket pc or if you had one for awhile this book is for you. I wanted a book that would help me be more efficient using my pocket pc and I wanted to know the in's and out's this book really helped me
