For the past year, I've kept a copy of Pocket Ref in my desk drawer at work. I refer to it at least once a week, and I've given two copies as gifts to co-workers who kept borrowing my copy. When I learned that a law-enforcement version was available, I searched high and low trying to find a copy. I should have come to Amazon.com first... Pocket Partner is a teriffic resource for anyone needing a concise guide to investigation, contacts in law enforcement, or HazMat information. Everyone who works in the field should have a copy handy. While it might not offer the depth of information on a particular topic that other books do, the Pocket Partner in your glovebox when you need it is still much better than the tome sitting on a shelf back at your office.

Police of all career lengths should have this book.
Fire and EMT's could also use the info in this book. There is tons!
Communications, Explosives, HAZMAT, CSI, Firearms, First Responders, Investigators, Substance Abuse, Terrorism, and more.

THE BOOK IS A MUST HAVE IMO.I WORK IN THE STEVEDORE INDUSTRY AND I BRING MY BOOK TO WORK TO IDENTIFY HAZ MAT LOADS I'M HANDLING!VERY USEFUL AND COULD SAVE LIVES IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY!

This product has alot of great knowlage. It is a valuable tool for not only Law Enforcement, but also civilians as well.

I bought this book because I loved the previous series released by the same people. When I found out they also make a book for law enforcement I was estatic. The book is just a primer of basic knowledge and techniques that is helpful for students. One section I am particularily fond of is the "Spanish for Law Enforcement" section with common phrases.

Within hours of buying it Pocket Partner was added to my work bag as a book I may need at any time during my workday. So far I've only used it for the area code listings, but it's been a comforting presence and an educational resource.

This pocket partner is great for quick reference of measurements, calculations, and other useful applications during everyday activities. Unfortunately, my employer ended up giving me a copy of this useful reference guide two days after it came in the mail. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the unnecessary expense I incured...

Geeze I can go anywere in the country and be aware of all the ins and outs of the local laws , I can decipher situations and also know how to speak other langauges when I'm in a tight sqeeze.
it's a great book to have for any emergency !
It's definitely a handy little book , I would recomend it to anyone.
