I love the styling of this remote control holder; they really have the right idea. However, the inner sections are a challenge (the second section being the narrowest) unless you have very flat remotes. I have exactly four remotes and the remote that sits in the second section is only "on" the holder, not in it. The first and last sections are perfect; they allow for remotes of various shapes. The third section isn't too bad because I have a remote which can fit in it.

Fit and finish are very good and the concept itself is very smart. It's a shame that all of my remotes don't fit flat in the holder, as I'm sure they're meant to. For reference, the outer sections are about 1.5" wide, the second is about .75", the third section is about 1.25" wide (at least on mine). If your remotes are wider than 75" (from the top of the buttons to the bottom of the remote) then this may not be for you...

I bought this item for X-mas last year. I absolutely love it. It's perfect. All remotes in one spot w/swivel action all neat. Wonderful.
The slots aren't the same sizes... but luckily we have the right 4 remote sizes for the 4 spaces... (a fat stereo one, and regular cablevision one, and a skinny tv and ps3 remote).

The problem?
It's not leather... it's some weird pleather material, and from hundreds of times of taking the remotes in and out, and them rubbing the sides of the "pleather", it's falling apart... not at the seams.. I mean the "coating" has rubbed off and little black pieces of whatever the material is comes off and lands around the holder area.
Yucky gross. Wish it had wear resistant material =(

But hey, $20 bucks?! worth every penny, even if I got 6 months out of it.. and I got 7.
I'm still using it, I just dust more.

I ordered this through Amazon from Stack&Stacks. The first one I received had a missing part. Stacks&Stack were prompt in sending out not just the part, but a complete unit. As it turns out the second unit couldn't be assembled due to some ill fitting parts. I was able to combine the two to make one usable unit. Although Stacks&Stacks were prompt in replacement and the assembled unit works well, I only give it two stars based on shoddy manufacturing. The truth be told, I broke down and made my own in my workshop. This one is going to be used by my wife, at least until she sees the one I made for myself, then we'll probably give to one of the kids!

This is a great little product and was a really nice idea for a remote holder. Everyone who has come to our home and seen it has commented favorably, but that isn't important next to the convenience it has added to keeping my controls in one spot, never accidentally knocked off my end table to underneath my chair, etc.

Yes, there is assembly, I think it took me about 4 minutes to put this together, and that was being very careful with how I pulled the leather over the posts that separate the remote control's pockets.

This holder works fine once it is put together. I have some large remotes and I didn't have a problem fitting them in. But, if the description had the words "assembly required", I wouldn't have bought it. It isn't hard to assemble. But here is a line from the instructions:
"The best sewn edge placed at the end of the posts"
As if I could tell.
There ought to be a law requiring that all product descriptions must say if there is any assembly involved.

I have four remotes. They are always falling on the floor or down between the seats. This is easy, takes little space, and takes away frustration. I think it could use one extra dip for other things, pens, glasses, lip balm.

Your remotes have to be slender in order to fit. Also not at all decorative. Color is unattractive black-brown. Wood and metal.

Have been complimented on this item by many people. I like the looks and feel of the leather pockets and it is both very useful and attractive.

This product is pretty nice..love the look isn't hard to assemble other than sliding the leather part onto the rods.. I messed with this for about 30 min almost ripping the fake leather.. Finally i got some oil and lubed up the rods and it slide right on.. evidently the fake leather and painted wood does't slide to well needs a little help.. I figured this would be all metal but the base is the only metal part.. the rest is painted wood...

And that was the rather difficult time with slipping on the leather pockets. You have 4 seperate sleeves you have to slide over the wooden posts, which gives you your four pockets. The sleeves are a bit small, so you have to fight your way in putting this thing together. Once on, this thing is pretty good looking though.
