This review is from: Handy Pocket Guide to Tropical Plants (Periplus Nature Guides) (Paperback)
Using much of the same material and the same format at their Tropical Plants of Southeast Asia, Elisabeth Chan and Luca Invernizzi Tettoni present about 60 of the most common tropical plants. They are grouped into commonly seen plants, economically important plants, especially beautiful plants, and oddities. For each, there are one or two photos or drawings, the botanical family, occurence, description, and notes of interest. A good start to a collection of references, this is recommended as a traveler's first guide. For more information on these and other tropical plants, see Ornamental Plants & Flowers of Tropical Mexico.
