I got this chain because I am always leaving keys and other stuff I carry behind. This chain is well designed and keeps this dire emergency from ever happening. The round clip will fasten securely to a belt loop or the equivalent.

I bought this chain for use with SE Glow-in-the-Dark Brass Compass for a steampunk costume and it is ideal. The chain has a claw clasp at one end and a large ring clasp on the other. Attach the compass/watch using the clasp and attach the ring to a button and away you go.

I wouldn't put an expensive watch on the and of this chain. The chain itself is sturdy enough, but the claw clasp is not substantial enough for me for a heavy antique watch. For that you need a proper lobster claw fastener in my opinion (and real gold or silver).

But for the costume purpose I needed it for, or for a modern, inexpensive, electric fob watch - perfect.

I ordered this item for my husband for Christmas and he loved it. He inherited a pocket watch that was my Dad's so this is perfect for it. Thank you.
