Stay Connected with Near Real-Time Locates and Mapping

A PocketFinder is a personal GPS tracking device that tells you the location of the person carrying the device. A-GPS, GPS and GSM technologies provide the most reliable performance and allow you to see your device's location on a map from an easy-to-use web interface or mobile app.

To use the device, simply charge the device and give it to the person you want to locate. With the touch of a button, you can see a device's location on a map, address, heading, speed, altitude, and device indicators including GPS, GSM, and Battery.

Easy to Use Mobile App

Keeps You Connected When You're Not Looking

PocketFinder works even without you looking at your account. Create geo-fence zones around an area and receive alerts when your device enters or exits the zone. Speed limit alerts can send you an email or text message when your device exceeds the speed limit. Battery life alerts will tell you when it's time to recharge your device.

Create Zones and Receive Alerts

Create geographic zones around your home, office, school, park and other important landmarks and receive an alert when your device arrives or leaves that area. This keeps you in the know all day and helps you manage your family or make sure senior parents are going about their daily routines.

Speed Limits Help You Keep them Safe

Easily set a speed limit for each device and receive alerts when your device exceeds that speed limit. This is great for teenage drivers, senior parents, and for ensuring other parents are driving safely with your children on board.

Alerts via Text Message and Email

Alerts are sent via text message, email and push notifications on compatible mobile devices. Alerts are sent for geographic zones, speed limits and low battery alerts. You can manage all the alerts from all your devices in the same area.

Review up to 60 Days of History

Access up to 60 days of historical location data for each device. You'll see the location points along with the critical information for each point: address, speed, heading, altitude, and latitude/longitude. The user interface will also show alert points as red.

Industry Leading Battery Life

You can select from multiple power options that adjust the frequency of location updates throughout the day. Enjoy only as much as you need and maximize battery life. Battery life ranges from 1-5 days.

Great for Mom and the Family

Parents enjoy the full control over their spouses and children. With the touch of a button you can see where all your loved ones are located throughout their day. No more wondering which child is at soccer or where your teenager is in their schedule. Everyone is on one account, on one map, just a click away.

Great for Caregivers and Special Needs

PocketFinder is one of the most effective tools for helping care for senior parents, patients and special needs individuals. PocketFinder devices are built with military-grade plastics, are water-proof and do not have an on/off switch. They are reliable and will help you keep your loved ones safe or locate them if they roam.

Great for Luggage and Travel

Has an airline ever lost your luggage? Want to keep tabs on equipment or valuables? PocketFinder is small size and it will fit easily in luggage, golf bags or other valuables.

Getting Started is Easy

It's easy to get started with PocketFinder. Just create an account and activate the device, charge the device, and then give to a loved one and start locating right away.

Needless to say, you can't get peace of mind with this type of inconsistency.

I explained that I was still within the return period and that I had no interest in keeping a defective product and buying a new one.
I tried calling the "customer service" number which just tells you to check the website.

I think the idea is great, if it worked that is. The app consists of showing two "pointers" a blue dot, which is supposed to be showing the current location of the finder and a square which represents her profile (in our case a picture of her). I just dropped my daughter at the school bus, and at the beginning, i could see the blue dot moving along with the bus, and the next minute, it refreshed and all of the sudden the blue dot was showing to be at home, at the same time it is also showing her profile at some random address several miles from school. On the other hand I also think is too bulky for my 5 year old to wear, it really doesn't help to place it in her backpack because she doesn't take the backpack on field trips, I also think that in the event of abduction this device dangling from her clothes would be too obvious.

Another annoying thing is that when you register the device in the website, it doesn't tell you anything about the monthly fee, I learned is 13 dollars based on other reviewers here. The website pretty much just tells you to enter your billing info, no information of what or how much you are paying for.

In our case the battery lasted less than 20 hours after a full charge. I don't think this is nearly enough time.

This really is useless, so its going back.

We purchased this device for my son's backpack on his trips to school. The device was not acurate at all with his locations. On one day, he left for school on the bus, but the device never alerted me (zone) that he got to school. I checked online it it showed him about a half mile from school. Very nervous, I called the school to check. He was there and safe. However, the device still said he was 1/2 mile away. No thanks. When it comes to kids it should be very acurate.

I bought this device for piece of mind. Since it fails miserably at providing piece of mind it only got 1 star. Let me run down it's negatives and then I'll explain each one.
1. Doesn't work inside most building.
2. Too big to fit directly on child's clothing (must be put in jacket pocket, bookbag, car seat, etc.)
3. Not accurate enough (and definitely not within 10 feet)
4. Customer service is not responsive

1. The device uses 2G wireless telephone technology, unlike most cell phones which use 3G or 4G. The problem with this is the digital signal is weaker and therefore doesn't work well inside buildings due to interference. I have a zone of about a one block radius around my kids school. My devices are set to locate every 5 minutes (the battery didn't make it through the day when set to locate every 2 minutes). When my kids enter the zone around their school, it is possible for them to get inside their school before the device has located. When that happens the device never realizes they have made it to school (and therefore doesn't send me an alert) because it doesn't work well inside their school.

2. The device isn't large, but it is too big to be inconspicuously attached to the kids clothing. I've had to put it in their jackets. But now that the weather is warming up, the best I can do is attach it to their belt buckles. But then they mess with it because it's just dangling there (my kids are 3 and 5). I'm still searching for a better solution.

3. My biggest complaint is that I haven't seen its accuracy come anywhere close to being within 10 feet. If my kids are outside playing together, the tracking website almost always shows that one child is in my yard and another is 2 houses down.

i know what you're thinking, because i think the same thing when i read one star reviews about items on here: "oh, this idiot probably just didn't configure it correctly, or otherwise screwed it up." this is not the case. let me describe what happened with this item:

- i bought this through Amazon on a Sunday.
- it arrived the following Wednesday.
- i opened it and followed the instructions, first putting its charging station together and plugging it in.
- i allowed the item to charge all night, far longer than its 5-6 hour "first charge" recommendation.
- the next morning, i signed up on the website and PAID to have the item activated.
- i then "took it for a walk," as the instructions recommend, so it would "get its first locate."
- the company called me while i was walking to work. i missed the call but called back. i was confused; the instructions didn't indicate that contact with customer service would be required to make the item work.
- when i called i pressed 2 for customer service. it rang 20+ times with no answer, so...
- i called back and pressed 3 for technical support. it promptly hung up on me.
- i called back and pressed 1 for sales. i got to the very person that called me. she was confusing and slow, but indicated that customer service was necessary. i had to go to work, so i said i'd call back.
- later that day i called back and talked to another person. he indicated that it should already work, and asked me stupid questions like, "did you put the item in the charging station?" eventually he had me take it outside so that he could send it a signal to have it locate. this failed.
- i called back and had them cancel the service.
