Wish you knew some fun and interesting games to play with your baby? Or are you perhaps a preschool teacher wanting new rhymes and poems to teach your class? Check out Felicity Williams' interactive book Pocketful of Stars, Rhymes, Chants and Lap Games. Not only are there over 30 different poems, but each one comes with suggestions for action and/or a song. Although the actions are focused towards a single adult with a baby, many of the actions would adapt easily for a toddler or group of toddlers. It would be easy to have fun with these words and actions one-on-one or with a group. Subject matter of the rhymes covers computers, travel, animals, food, families and more. Some poems are restful and others almost rowdy. This is a book to smile and laugh over. However, it's not just the text that is full of humor; the artwork is entertaining as well. Mischievous characters in bright watercolors match the flavor of the book. An older child would enjoy seeing the pictures while hearing the poems. Award-winning illustrator Michael Martchenko has illustrated over 25 children's books. Author Felicity Williams is also an educator and award-winning composer and poet. -- From Independent Publisher
