5.0 out of 5 stars Nice addition to bedtime ritual
My 1-1/2 year old daughter enjoys this book as part of her bedtime ritual. 3.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the price...
Because of the rave reviews I ordered this book for my daughters 1st Birthday. When I received the book I opened it up before wrapping it because I was so excited! I was very disappointed! First of all the teddy bear is supposed to play lullaby's...When I pushed the tummy it sounded like one of those awful hallmark buttons, you know, the ones that play your favorite...

My 1-1/2 year old daughter enjoys this book as part of her bedtime ritual. She has learned to squeeze the bear to hear the music play, can open & close the velcro attachments and enjoys twisting the momma bear so she looks like she is "kissing" the baby bear goodnite. She can put the bear in and out of his bed and overalls and likes to remove the soap and pretend to wash him. The only drawbacks I have found is that she uses the fabric toothbrush to actually brush her teeth and, since it is rather thickly padded, I don't know if it can be washed. Also, the pajamas for the little bear are difficult to put on and off, even for me! Still, at this price, I would recommend this book.

Because of the rave reviews I ordered this book for my daughters 1st Birthday. When I received the book I opened it up before wrapping it because I was so excited! I was very disappointed! First of all the teddy bear is supposed to play lullaby's...When I pushed the tummy it sounded like one of those awful hallmark buttons, you know, the ones that play your favorite anthem, happy birthday, etc. Then it died and made these popping and buzzing noises, and there is no way to replace the battery. It is not something that would soothe a baby or toddler to sleep even if it did work properly. Second, the milk and the soap were bigger than the bear it self, I don't get it? The bear is only 2 maybe 3 inches tall and cheap looking. And third, for a nice interactive bed time story, there is no story really. The pj's are difficult to put on the bear even for an adult. The only plus side is that the book is cute and the quality of the book and accessories (except the bear) were very nice. I sent it back for a refund, for me it was not worth the price.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cute but Not worth 35 dollars!!!, November 5, 2004
This review is from: Lullaby and Goodnight by Pockets of Learning (Toy)
We got this book at our baby shower. It is a soft cloth book with a zipper to close it and keep peices inside. My daughter is almost two now and she plays with it on occasion. Using a small stuffed bear you go through the bed time routine. Glass of milk, bath, brush teeth, say your prayers, kiss goodnight etc. I really wish the book had a cord to attach all the small pieces to it. We lost the carton of milk and the soap. The toothbrush is attached by a cord but I noticed it fraying. The toothbrush is really the only part of it she uses. Which has been helpful in getting her brush back and forth instead of just chewing.

I really never thought about this toy much until I was browsing amazon for toys and I saw that it cost THIRTY FIVE dollars!! There is no way that it is worth that much money. Buy your kid 6 or 7 board books instead.

4.0 out of 5 stars $35?? wow!, December 5, 2004

I rec'd this as a baby shower gift, and am very suprised to find it's retail is $35! I do have an older version (no music) but, my son is now 18 mo and still loves "reading" his book before bed. So worth it none the less.

I ordered this book for the up-coming birthday of a grandson. It really is cute and an excellent quality. It comes with a small stuffed bear that you can remove from the book. Each page of the book has a different night-time activity for the bear to do such as have a glass of milk, brush his teeth etc. I'm not exactly sure what I was expecting because even though it is a quality toy I'm not sure that Liam will use it enough to make it worth the price I paid. The Pockets of Learning toys all seem to be very high quality if somewhat pricy.

My twins each receive this book for christmas. They do go page by page at naptime and bedtime. The manufacturer does include a card on how to contact them for replacements on missing items, such as the pajamas, milk, soap. A book they are sure to play with for a long time.

4.0 out of 5 stars durable book but wish pieces were connected, September 3, 2004
This review is from: Lullaby and Goodnight by Pockets of Learning (Toy)
We bought an earlier version of this same book from a yard sale. It is still in wonderful shape and my daughter has loved this book from age one to her current age of four. She loves putting teddy in the bath, in and out of the pajamas, etc. The teddy is connected to the book by a ribbon, but the pajamas and other accessories are not, and are easy to lose unless you only unzip and read it under adult supervision. Otherwise, it is THE best bedtime book we have ever bought.

All 3 of my kids have used this book lovingly. This, and all the other soft activity books like it have been a hit. Ours is an older version of this same book (we have no music). The jammies for the bear have gotten misplaced, but they LOVED taking him out of his overalls and putting on his jammies... Pricey book, but it has kept it's shape better than a lot of our other well used books (except for the missing jammies)

This is a cute, interactive book made out of fabric. It walks you though the night routine (1. Drink your milk, 2. Brush your teeth, 3. Take off your clothes, 4. take a bath, 5. Put on pajamas, 6. Bedtime story, 7. Say a prayer, 8. Lullaby and goodnight) - works well for praying people - unfortunately, I bought it for an agnostic family!

I just purchased this book for my 17 month old. It is the first soft activity book that we have owned. It is a great way to do something together to settle down before bed. The hands-on activities hold her interest very well. I would warn to only use it with adult supervision, as we have already misplaced the milk. It is well made, very creative and similar to most bedtime routines. My little one just loves it! I will buy it for other toddlers in the future.
