We have twins and these have been, honestly, great! We first tried them at about 1 month (corrected age - they were 3 months premature) and for as much as they sucked, they just weren't getting enough to come out. It was VERY, VERY slow to feed them this way and we gave up. Since then, and thinking about it and looking at the nipples these come with, we realized the nipples are too slow of a flow (for our babies, at least). All we did was swap the nipples that came with them with other nipples we received from the hospital when they were discharged (many other nipples work, too, like Dr. Brown's... ) and they worked PERFECTLY! Now they are 4 months corrected age, and these bottles are even better. Sometimes you have to put it back in when the baby lets it come out, but other than that, they are a lifesaver. Also, we find, when they are really hungry, they rarely let the paci come out.

Also, you DON'T have to suck any of the milk out yourself... like someone else said, you can just squeeze the nipple a couple times and also it helps to hold the bottle up above your baby's head when they first start sucking (to help get the milk up), after that, you just set it down beside them and they suck away. We've never had a problem with the milk "not staying in the nipple" like someone else mentioned.

I should also add that we use them almost every time we are out and about. And, nearly every time we've been out and people see our twins eating while in the stoller, they stop and ask where we got them.

Again, our babies are 4 months now and they have no problems with these.

We are definitely very happy with this purchase (and are back on Amazon.com to order some more)!!

First, to all the parents who are sucking on the bottle to 'get it started' for your babies - STOP. LOL, all you have to do is squeeze the nipple once or twice, which pushes the air down and pulls the liquid up. If you read the insert that comes in the package, you would discover that for yourself.

The Podee has been a lifesaver for us. It's great for traveling. We use it when our baby is in her car seat or stroller. It's great for late night feedings when you're drowsy and baby is hungry. How many times have we all nodded off a bit and dropped the bottle? Too many times to count. Now, I can hold and rock my daughter comfortably while she eats without worrying about nodding off and upsetting the mood.

Everytime I am out in public and my daughter is in her stroller happily sucking away on the Podee, people are amazed by this device, most have never seen it before, and everyone wants to know where to get it!

Prior to buying the Podee I had a very difficult time feeding my infant daughter a bottle when we were on the road, because I wasn't always in the back seat of the car with her and she was not yet old enough to hold her own bottle. Around the time she turned 6 months old I came across the Podee hands free bottle at the baby store and decided to give it a try. Turns out it worked beautifully for us! The baby just sucks on the nipple (like a pacifier) and the milk will flow without them actually having to hold the bottle up to their mouth. On the downside, you might have to get it started for them by sucking some of the initial air out, but that's not really a big deal. It was definitely a lifesaver on our road trips! As a sidenote, we now have a newborn son and when we tried to use the bottle with him at 2.5 months old he was unable to manage it. Perhaps it works best with slightly older (6 months or more) babies. It is definitely worth trying, because when it works it is great!

I love this product. I use it all the time and everywhere I go people stop me to say "What a great idea!" or "I wish they had that when my kids were babies!" I first used it with my son two years ago and began using it again with my second child last month. I use it everywhere - anytime she needs milk and we're out - in the car, restaurant or even at home if I need to get something done - while she's sitting in the Bumbo or exersaucer. The most convenient time is when we're shopping; She's in the Bjorn and I put the Podee in a water bottle sack - the kind used for cycling - I hook it to the Bjorn (just slip the cinch cord loop on the sack around the Bjorn strap that button snaps) - and wahlah! The bottle is kept warm in the sack, it's up by my shoulder so it's not getting shaken around and in my way, I can shop and when she gets hungry, I don't have to stop, she just eats by holding the nipple part. The only negative is you have to make sure you store the nipple (even if the cap is on) facing up. Otherwise as the straw fills up and leaks everywhere. I've never been patient enough to use the little discs to stop leaking on any bottle. Dangling like shown in the photo, the milk comes out of the nipple hole. Regardless, this product is great and totally worth it!

I bought this feeding system for my grandson. I was skeptical at first - but WOW! Before using this feeding system he would spit up over 1/2 of what he eat - BUT NO MORE! Great for crib, stroller, car seat, swing, bouncer, etc! As a nurse, I know of course, you are never supposed to lay a baby down with a bottle (it will leak/drip in their mouth while they are sleeping which can cause aspiration pneumonia); however this thing ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT LEAK. Like a straw that an adult would use - you have to suck on it to get anything out!

I see that some people are having problems with getting the liquid through the straw into the nipple - HERE IS THE SECRET - put your fingertip over the nipple outlet and then just pinch the bottom of the nipple a few times to "milk" the liquid up where it belongs. Of course, as baby grows or "plays" with the nipple he can let the air in. The solution - if baby is playing with the nipple then he really does not want the bottle in the first place - take it away!

In summary - I love this item! No leaks, a significant decrease in "spit-up", baby dry and no leaking bottle mess all over him and the best thing - NO ASPIRATION PNEUMONIA! Get it - you will love it!

My daughter was born with a heart defect and had two open heart surgeries before she was 7 months old. It was hard for her to nurse a regular bottle because it hurt her to be in certain positions. This bottle has helped her thrive. Most heart babies are very small, not her and I feel that it is because of this bottle. This bottle is great on our long trips to the doctor's office. I put it next to her in her car seat and she can self feed. Love this bottle.

I love this! I got it for my babysitter to use with my son but we use it all the time! It is great for him to eat while I am trying to get ready in the morning. I use it with my Dr. Brown bottles and nipples. No leaks! It took him a couple trys to get used to it, but he is now a pro. I don't even have to burp him anymore.

After reading multiple reviews (good and bad) I finally decided to just go ahead and get one and I am so glad i did!! We are fixing to move to a new place thats almost 2 hours away and after having to try to figure out some way to feed my 3 month old with a bottle this did just the trick. He drinks it all in minutes it seems and I have no issues with leaks or anything, just make sure you prime it right and keeping the bottle higher than the nipple helps. I would buy this over and over again!

These bottles are great. If you have twins you need these. I have twin girls and use these bottles every day while the girls father is at work. Now I don't stress out about feeding the twins on my own anymore.They are a bit of a pain to clean(the tubes)but each bottle comes with a tiny brush and it works very well. I can't say enough about these bottles I love them

I was thrilled when I purchased this bottle. I love it !! My baby has never had an ear infection , and as a matter of fact after she started using the bottle at 3months old she didnt spit up nearly as much. I held her while using it and read her a book at the same time. Its great for bonding. I used it in the car seat, stroller , swing, you name it and the great thing about this is the website I really purchased it from had many other PODEE products to offer so I bought others too. thebottlenanny . com. I use it now as a tot bottle, the tube still stays in the bottle but there is NO AIR in the belly still!!! Ya!
