5.0 out of 5 stars RN SAYS - No more spitting up, no leaks, no chance of pneumonia, baby loves it!
I bought this feeding system for my grandson. I was skeptical at first - but WOW! Before using this feeding system he would spit up over 1/2 of what he eat - BUT NO MORE! Great for crib, stroller, car seat, swing, bouncer, etc! As a nurse, I know of course, you are never supposed to lay a baby down with a bottle (it will leak/drip in their mouth while they are...

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good product
This feeding kit works pretty well, with a few adjustments. You do have to prime the nipple (not difficult), but the system works better if you find a way to hang the bottle kind of like an IV - otherwise the baby seems to get more air and the nipple doesn't stay full. It's not exactly what we had hoped for, but it works well enough when you're trying to buy time to...

I bought this feeding system for my grandson. I was skeptical at first - but WOW! Before using this feeding system he would spit up over 1/2 of what he eat - BUT NO MORE! Great for crib, stroller, car seat, swing, bouncer, etc! As a nurse, I know of course, you are never supposed to lay a baby down with a bottle (it will leak/drip in their mouth while they are sleeping which can cause aspiration pneumonia); however this thing ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT LEAK. Like a straw that an adult would use - you have to suck on it to get anything out!

I see that some people are having problems with getting the liquid through the straw into the nipple - HERE IS THE SECRET - put your fingertip over the nipple outlet and then just pinch the bottom of the nipple a few times to "milk" the liquid up where it belongs. Of course, as baby grows or "plays" with the nipple he can let the air in. The solution - if baby is playing with the nipple then he really does not want the bottle in the first place - take it away!

In summary - I love this item! No leaks, a significant decrease in "spit-up", baby dry and no leaking bottle mess all over him and the best thing - NO ASPIRATION PNEUMONIA! Get it - you will love it!

It's not exactly what we had hoped for, but it works well enough when you're trying to buy time to make dinner.

The baby seems to actually like it. She's typically a wiggly eater, but sits chilled out in her bouncer when using this bottle. Maybe it's because she feels she has control over it.

This Podee has been a godsend! It not only gives me a free hand or two when I need it, my 4 month old no longer has problems spitting up, not being able to finish her bottles only to be hungry 2 hours later and no more huge messes from formula leaking out the sides of her mouth that other bottles had caused. She loves it because it is easy for her eat quickly, to grab and put back in her mouth. No fussing at all in the middle of the night feedings. She eats quickly and falls right back to sleep with it. Regular bottles seemed to be a chore compared to the Podee system. Yes, there are extra parts to clean but it is worth it. I used my own bottle sets for the kit (Playtex Ventair regular)> Though the Podee kit says to only use their nipples, the Playtex Ventair nipples are the exact same ones. I give this 5 stars because IT makes things much easier on Parents and Babies. I plan on buying more so I don't have to clean so often.

My son was 3 months when i tryed this bottle....it just seems like it's too little milk/formula coming through for him to get anything and he gets a lot of air. I thought maybe it would be better for newborns that don't eat so much....because my sister had these for her twins and they worked well for her!

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have, August 16, 2009
This review is from: Podee: Convert-A-Bottle Handsfree Feeding Kit (Baby Product)
Podee: Convert-A-Bottle Handsfree Feeding Kit is the best thing since disposable diapers. If I could, it would get more than five stars. I just wish I would have gotten them sooner. My daughter doesn't like to hold her own bottle; this makes it hard when we are in the car and all she does is cry. With the Podee she gets her feeding and we get peace. It was great on the airplane trip we just took. When we have our next child I will be getting more than two kits.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best baby invention EVER!, September 26, 2008
This review is from: Podee: Convert-A-Bottle Handsfree Feeding Kit (Baby Product)
This thing is AWESOME! I can't believe it is not more readily available. We found it at babies-r-us. My husband brought it home and I thought he was crazy. It seems like one of those as seen on tv products that never work, but BOY was I wrong!

It is the only way I feed my son now. I'm a busy business owner and never have time to sit still. I pop this in his mouth in his car seat or stroller and he eats while I run errands. People stop me all of the time to ask where I got it.

Yes, it has small tubes that would be difficult to clean, if it didn't come with a little brush made specifically for cleaning the tubes!

I bought two of these, hoping it would help with my newborn twins but they were not interested and it was too difficult to get all the parts assembled. It was just a failure on all fronts for me.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good, May 28, 2009
This review is from: Podee: Convert-A-Bottle Handsfree Feeding Kit (Baby Product)
While all babies should be cuddled, loved and fed in the arms of Mom/Dad, sometimes it's not possible at that very second. When traveling this is especially useful. One con, I really wish that the company would throw in a lid that fits the collar of this kit. Good idea and great invention overall.

The use of this product is a pain, with too many small parts to keep up with. Perhaps if you have multiples this product is worth it, but if you'd like to have a hands free moment otherwise, just take a deep breath and wait until the wee one can do it on their own.
