Make life easier with this stuff. You only use it to "pre-treat" the fabric by painting it on one side. It makes the fabric as easy to handle as paper - with no wrinkles! Then you use whichever Mod Podge you want to to glue the fabric on and "varnish and seal". That's good because Plaid doesn't make this formula in larger containers and it's hard to find. (Don't get me started on Plaid not offering larger quantities for some of their formulas...) Anyway, this is really what you need for "Fabric Decoupage Without Tears".

Exception to the above: If you are gluing fabric onto fabric, you definitely use the Fabric Mod Podge formula.

I used this formula of mod podge for glueing fabric to a metal board to use as a magnet board. I was worried that there would be build up spots where the glue is under neath or that there would be white residue from teh dried glue. None of that happened! The fabric has stayed tight and looks very professional.

I use this for crafting and I often buy it at Joanne's and Michaels. I say wait til you have a coupon because you can get it for half off at the craft stores and the price at Amazon is higher.

Mod Podge for fabric was perfect for my custom Converse project. It dries perfectly clear and remains flexible even after three coats. I haven't tested it against water yet to see how well it will hold up. Super easy to use - just brush it on.

I liked how it worked with fabric on non washable projects but I would not recommend for clothing that must be washed.

I bought this to finish a project involving lace on a wooden picture frame. It worked exactly as it should - fast-paced drying and clear so the lace didn't get all mucked up. Would probably work as a general adhesive for numerous craft projects not involving fabric as well, I assume.

I bought this to glue fabric to a clamshell purse kit for my very own Judith Leiber-inspired jeweled creation. It worked brilliantly gluing poly taffeta to hard plastic and gave me nice crisp corners without a lot of fuss or bubbling. ModPodge is always a winner but this formula did exactly what I wanted!

I love working with ModPodge. It is good for putting material on photo albums. The glue guns tend to show through on fabric. This does not after it dries.
