INFO...,
This review is from: Poems By the Bronte Sisters Hb (New Mermaids) (Hardcover)
The Bronte sisters' (Charlotte, Emily & Anne) very first published works are in this book, published under their pseudonyms of Currer, Ellis and Acton Bell in 1846. A thousand copies were printed, privately funded by the Brontes themselves, but the 'Poems' were a commercial failure, with only 39 copies being bought or (mostly) handed out to reviewers and friends. This is a reprint of these original poems with a new introduction by Mark Seaward.
