5.0 out of 5 stars Incredibly powerful, timeless words, August 23, 1998

One of my all-time favorites. Bly does a splindid job in the readings. I keep a copy in my car for putting on during especially stressful traffic jams to help me keep things in perspective. It is like a great movie your mind keeps coming back to ponder . . .

4.0 out of 5 stars amazing words, amazing music, a treasure., November 29, 1998

This is how you put a flower onto audio tape.To listen to Poems of Kabir is to escape this world utterly. If I sound over-dramatic, you have only to hear this unbelievable recording and you will be convinced. These 15th century poems will speak to your heart with clairity and grace.Robert Bly's voice can take a little getting used to, but his honest humanity is terribly beautifull.Marcus Wise on tabla is superb and the sitar of David Whetstone could easily make Jimmy Page green with envy.A truly awesome work.
