I can't think of enough to say. I'm only 11 years old. I thought the book came right from someone's heart. I would definetly recommend it to someone.

This collection is the one I turn to for life's difficulties. I read it when things hit hard at work, and it helps me see how great and remarkable people sustain their goals and themselves through adversity. I give it to others who are struggling with personal or professional issues, and they are universally grateful. These poems speak to average and exceptional people alike. The snapshot of the encouragement and courage that eloquent leaders find in these poems is definitely the touch that makes this book uniquely helpful and valuable.

5.0 out of 5 stars a must-read!!, May 14, 2002
This review is from: Poems for Life (Hardcover)
This book does a number of great things. One, it brings together a wide range of excellent poems. Two, it gives each of them a personal touch, making it easier for the reader to relate to them. And three, it reveals the human side of a number of celebrities, who candidly talk about why these poems are their favorites.

I participated in this project when I was in the fifth grade, and one of the letters written to a celebrity in there is mine! But I love poetry, and would never recommend a book that was sub-par. This is truly a great book, and deserves a spot on any well-rounded bookshelf. (Also, the profits go to a branch of UNICEF.)
